My simple joy today is feeling the warm sun on my face and was given a baffet table for free!

My simple joy today is that even though it's cold, windy, and rainy, with snow expected tonight, this afternoon I'll be going to a Victory Garden class. I'm thankful that it's being held indoors!

My simple joy today was celebrating my Mom and Dad's 40th wedding anniversary with them. We had an awesome dinner and had a great time talking and laughing.
My other joy was watching my Mom and Daughter make napkin rings for a special dinner next weekend. (we get to meet my brother's girlfriend for the first time!!! we are hoping she is the one!)
All the supplies were stuff we already had on hand, so they were free and turned out really pretty!

after chores this morning (its raining here in peru, NY) i went in the house and my boyfriend already had coffee brewing and food for the dogs out. i made the honey custard french toast from the mjf feb/march issue, which was awesome especially with homemade maple syrup. brock's watching a hunting video while i'm catching up with all the farmgirl posts, perfect sunday morning.

ahhhhhh- PEACE! This might sound so horribly wrong- but the kids are off to their grandparents for 7 wonderful luxurious days! A great brak for me- even if I am just staying at home and working!

My joy wasn't so simple today but I am so joyful! I have been wanting to post pictures on the forum but couldn't figure it out. Today with virtual assistance from Alee and a whole lotta gumption on my part I finally got it!
Here is a photo of my favorite crops, our daughters, Oceanna and Avia with our Amaranth last July.

Then this one is of our harvest. Hopefully I will have an even better picture this fall.

Nice Pictures Heide!

My simple joy today was one of my sheep saying "Mama" as I walked into the driveway after a very grueling day. Made me smile and laugh!

My simple joy today was a peaceful drive on the back roads having to stop for a Pheasant Couple to cross the road :)

I was lounging in bed today and the furnace came on and the blinds were "dancing" in the sun to the beat of the vent. It was soothing and fun to watch. One of those...stop and smell the roses type things. A gift to start the day with...Debbie

My simple joy today is relighting my pilot light on our furnace (It went out in the night) without having to ask for help!

Oh and my second simple joy today is having my niece over and her being happy to see me! (She's a bit shy and since I lived so far away I have been a stranger to her for most of her 3 years. Only last weekend was the first time she actually asked me to pick her up!!)

An early Spring morning that feels distinctly like mornings I remember in England, 4 dogs quietly dreaming on the living room floor, and a warm, snuggly baby girl sleeping soundly on my chest.

Hanging out in bed with my cat, a second cup of coffee and watching it snow and knowing I didn't have to drive anywhere today.

Do I have to pick just one?

1. Seeing my first red-wing black bird of the season
2. Thinking my sweetheart looks better then Brad Pitt with his new haircut
3. Buying a stranger a cup of coffee and getting into a cool conversation afterwards

My simple pleasure today. . .was writing another exercise for Farm Girls to help us remember to take care of ourselves.

http://www.maryjanesfarm.org/snitz/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=30565

Alee, I am so glad Nora and you are working it out; I had a huge red jelly bean last night before bed and I had a very disturbing dream. . .I am holding Red #40 responsible.
Annika, my husband needs a haircut. . .
lol
hugs
