I'd maybe like to join in if it's not too late. Just I'm really new to making dolls, and not the best at it. I've made a couple. My kids say they're freaky looking, but my niece and my mom really like them. Would anyone be interested in a dollie like this? If not I could wait till I have a lil more practice under my belt and wait for another swap.

I wanted to say something here to bump the topic up too.
We've been talking about making doll hair and staining with tea or coffee. If you haven't read it...it's a good topic.

There is another thread just about tea or coffee staining and making hair for dolls.
We were talking in general about dolls but it is not as active now....we progressed from there to this swap.

sorry i'm been out of commission my father passed away yesterday been at the hospital since Thursday anyway count me in; but i want swap with someone who likes the Miss Frannie type of doll cuz that's my favorite. and that's what i want too!

I like this pattern site. They are not free but I get some ideas from looking. I like the basic doll body here...should be easy to make.

Those rageddy ones are really cute. I have a pattern I just found in my stash that I think I will use. She has an apron and everything. It is my favorite pattern but she isn't real primitive. is that ok with you melanie?
