Has anyone ever put a lining into a pre-existing coat? Is it possible, worth the time, really a pain? I would love to hear your input.
I bought a really cute coat for dirt-cheap on a clearance rack but it is a stretchy-jersey-type material and "clings" to my clothes. I think a lining would make the difference, am I dreaming as far as making this work?
Anyone have a tutorial or book they can recommend?
Thank you!!!!!!

It is simple to make a lining. You just need to copy the shape of the entire coat and sew in the sleeves and then you can hand sew the lining to the coat. You could make your pattern out of butcher paper or something you find at Huck's. Hey, are you coming Friday night? I have some poly lining material in navy you could use.

Find your joy and live it. http://cheneybaglady.blogspot.com/http://www.kpaints.etsy.com FG #377

Here's a threads article that I read recently. It may look complicated, but take it slow--one step at a time--and it will come out great!
