I agree about the two additional aprons... When you're already making 25-ish, two more isn't that hard...

Well we usually send them in a postal envelope, I think it is $4.80 or something, and you can stuff as much in there as you can, I sent all of mine to Kathie last time for like $2 something in an orange envelope. Its not that bad, you just include an envelope with your minis, this may sound confusing, but its really not that hard. Minis are fun to make and fun to recieve! Have fun! and don't forget to label them so we know who made what!

Terri,
Here is how I did it for the last swap. I bought two large envelopes (the kind with the clasp), one to mail the aprons to Kathie and the second one the same size with my address printed on it. Before sealing the envelope I placed my return envelope folded in half inside with my aprons and had the post office weigh it (I made sure my envelope was inside when they weighed it to get the correct postage going to Kathie) then I asked them to print out a second sticker with the same amount to put on my return envelope. We take my envelope out put the postage on it, place it back in, seal and it is ready to mail. I didn't have a problem with all the aprons fitting in a large envelope, I just made sure they laid flat. Hope this helps. I am new to this too, this will be my second swap. I am looking forward to starting mine. I am going shopping for fabric tomorrow!

I bought that mini apron pattern too. I'm not sure if I want to put all the little details on mine but just looking at the patterns closely was so much fun!! I love aprons of all types...the patterns can be used simply for some ideas and inspirations for sure. It does look like they are the perfect size.

I don't know if our new joiners have seen the mini aprons from our past swaps so I wanted to say that it is not expected to make detailed or fancy full aprons. Many are still simple half aprons. The simple ones are appreciated just as much and they can be made with nice theme fabric. After seeing the pattern I wanted to make sure we stressed that.

Thanks everyone! I just wanted to make sure I had all the correct info......LOL

I would love to see the minis from the past swaps, so I am off to find them......

Edited to add.....I can't find any pictures? I searched for the past year or so? Could someone point me in the right direction? I am hoping to start my aprons this week. I have the fabric (out of my stash)....and the lace, I just need the ideas.

I actually started mine today after telling Ronna how much I hated making these bitty things. LOL
Guess I started to feel guilty for bad-mouthing them. ha!

Awww Bonne, I wasn't gonna tell on you :) Let's see if I can make Mission Impossible happen and get them done in a reasonable amount of time. I washed out a large Mrs.Butterworth syrup bottle the other day. Had been refilling it, since they don't make the glass ones anymore, but figured it would get tossed without me knowing and I'd be sad. Love to display the mini's on them. My laundry room is waiting for a row of them too.

I bought the Kwik Sew pattern number 3596. I didn't use a pattern last time, thought I might make one of these. It has 5 designs in all, 3 of which are very simple half apron designs. www.kwiksew.com

Brenda, the link works if you delete the last dot after the com

The apron pattern is cute but bigger than our palm hand-size. It is to fit American Girl doll.
I like the site!

my birthday ones were not so good, but i was learning to use my serger, so carmen and i made only serger 4 cone stitches on them, i learned that night how to use that stitch, so this time i must make really cool ones to make up for it.
