Oh! It's like I'm there...except I'm here at work :(

Can't wait to put our Christmas Tree up so that I can utilize my ornaments that I purchased. Miss Wilma, those stockings (red and white striped ones, they weren't on a tree--what type of material are they made from? Feels like wool. No matter, just curious).

Yes, sitting here crying like a baby, remembering all the wonderful times I had this October. A good cry girls, gosh how I miss you all. I think when MIss Wilma comes out in July I should hide out in her suitcase and fly myself back there again.
I love love love the pictures and getting to see all that Miss Wilma and gang did. I love the snowmen on the trees, working on a few stars and birds and stockings for a garland here at home. Proably won't get it finsihed this year, but will be well on my way. How wonderful things looked.

LOL, Janice, you need my Geo, more things would fit in by hook or by crook....lol

J, you have to show pictures of your place when you get done, yep, handmade ornaments by miss wilma, the best ever.....grin

Donna, you got to go, how awesome

Miss Wilma, you are just a gathering up more of us girls and making our hearts sing!!!!!! Love to ya,cs

Miss Wilma, I am so sad I couldn't make it. I had to work. It has been so crazy around my house lately I could really use a Knob Lick Country Club get away

So when do you hopefully get to take a little trip? Where do you go to get away?
Yes, snow predicted here and it comes with a Winter Storm Watch, 6 to 12 inches worth on Saturday. Hmmmmm, me thinks the weather outside is frightful, the fire is so delightful, is really going to be true....lol
have a good day girls......

Hey I am back now have been up to Ann Arbor Mi, with three of my girl friends we had a great time but I like to froze to death, We went to a christmas show at Jane Wallaces house, I bought lots of Christmas things then we took in several antique malls but most of them look like giant yard sales, We did find a good one in Edinburgh In though, I am very tired and am going to hit the sack

I still don't have my tree up either. We've got the outside lights up and a few decorations about. I'm having trouble getting into the holiday spirit this year. Maybe this winter weather they are predicting will get me into it.

Sounds like you had a great time Miss Wilma. Hope you are doing well.

I hear ya, Lainey...I've got so much in my head with all the stuff for the baby and fixing up the house that I just can't seem to think clearly enough to get the Christmas stuff done. I keep making list after list!

I'm hoping that the weather makes you feel a bit more festive--sit down with Frederick, turn on some tunes and snuggle up with some cocoa. I watched It's a Wonderful Life on Saturday night and it did make me feel more festive! Tonight, I think it's "I Want a Dog for Christmas, Charlie Brown" and a new Muppets Christmas show on Wednesday. Nothing says Christmas to me like "Animal"!!!!

FebVi, I'm a list girl too! Seems I'm so busy making them I don't get much else done. hehe But yes, I think tonight we'll get the tree up. I'm going to check out the Charlie Brown movie, is it on ABC Family Channel? I know they do a movie each night until Christmas.

Agreed!!!! I think it's on regular tv--like NBC or whatever. We don't have cable, so I know it was advertised on one of the regular stations. It's really chilly outside, and Justin and I just had lunch together (now I'm sleepy!) and after work we'll go to the herb farm where we got the tree last year. Hopefully, it will be quick picking--it was already spitting snow just a few minutes ago!

gosh, starting to come out of the haze of being "sick" and thought the best medicine to make me feel all better would be to go for a quick visit to miss wilmas.
...and it did the trick, i feel so much better touchin base with miss wilma and the kentucky girls. i will be back to keep up with all the comings and goings at miss wilmas place. also good to hear the voices of carol sue and some of the other girls from miss wilmas.

Miss Wilma, Miss K and I put up the Christmas tree yesterday and the only decorations that she wanted to put on it were the ones we bought from you. She also hung the stockings on the tree and chuckled the whole time because her daddy is getting the stocking that says "I've been naughty". So I guess we'll called this years' tree the Miss Wilma tree. ;-)

The tree looks beautiful with your decorations and they make me smile because I think of you, FebVio, Janice, Susan, Luna and Tammy. My KY farmgirl friends!

Girls, I have a funny story for ya'll in regards to our Christmas tree. Well where my tree was last year (the one in the mag) a 80+ year old rocking chair sits there with a few primitive dolls and such. My mom asked and then my hubby asked when I was putting up the tree. Usually I'm very early (mid November). I said quickly "well I'm just going to enlarge a photo of last year's tree, stick it in a frame and hang it on the wall in that corner...thus I have put up the tree." Teehee. Yeah, they didn't think it was funny. HAHA. I've been so busy that I think I may have a couple of things out, but not a lot. We don't do the outside lights anymore because it just wastes electricity and it's so cold outside when you try to take them down.

Hopefully you gals are safe tonight. We are in the middle of (insert echo voice) "Winter Storm 2008" as I've been mocking the weather guys to my hubby. It has been icing (didn't start until like 9PM) and I think it is suppose to snow or something. I'm forever glad that I work just like 5 min from the house. Weather like this makes a huge difference on driving to and from work.

HI girls,
I think we are all just a little slower on the Christmas decorations. Or at least you girls are making me feel so much
better about being so very slow getting things done. Smile.
I got my itty bitty tree up this year. What you ask is my tree, a reject thrown in the garbage artificial of coarse and only the top was good, thus my Christmas tree, snowed and prettied in blue and teal older bulbs that were rescued....lol
Blue little bulbs make it look grand along with some silver tinsel. Dh loves it and so do I. The fire has been going like crazy but baby it is cold cold cold outside!!!!!

Frannie, yeah it is fun to see you.

Miss Wilma, what a time you had, now you just need to catch a few zzzz's and you will be back to your old self. I am so very glad you got to go take the break!!!!!!

Off to bed for me.....love each of you girls!!!!!

Whew! Got the tree up, lit the candles and sat around with hubby on a cold, blustery, winter's night--we even made breakfast for dinner :) I even put the new flannel sheets on the bed (and they made for good dreams!)...the tree looks lovely, if I do say so myself (it ought to...$50.00 this year, everywhere) but I don't care if there aren't any gifts under it, there HAS to be a tree. DH reminded me that this was our 8th tree together, and the last one before there is a little one in the picture. I think that makes it EXTRA special--that fact, and all the lovely Miss Wilma ornaments that I bought at the Christmas open house. They sure do look wonderful! Now, I did manage to put aside 2 out of the 6 that I originally purchased for co-workers (originally, I bought all for co-workers) but then thought of how rarely I am selfish and decided that it was SO rare, I should keep them for myself....and so I did.

Schools to the east of us are closed, but we didn't seem to get anything but cold weather. They are calling for ice, sleet and snow by this afternoon, but we shall see is all I have to say...

Maybe we should post photos of our Miss Wilma trees??? I'd like that. Actually, I'd just like to see all our Christmas wonder since we can't go to each other's homes this time...

Whaddya all think?
