I'm glad you made it back safe and sound from Michigan Miss Wilma! Hope you found lots of goodies. Are you going to be open any this week or weekend? I gotta get my behind up there and get Miss Gracie's pillow! And hopefully some ornaments if you have any left. I was greedy at the open house and only bought for myself! Now I need gifts for Kolton's teachers! Woops!

Best farm wishes

Yeah we are going to do it , we have just got to get a date worked out,and I am open to what we might want to do so just put your suggestions in, also any new girls wishing to come please let me know so I can work on sleeping arrangements. I sure will be looking forward to seeing everyone. I was just looking at Abbys pictures last night and got so homesick for her,Pam Lisas sister has a little boy that is just a darling, he likes to make things to. Pam bought him a knife at Burlington last fall and Sterl was teaching him how to whittle. Sterl is really good with teaching children the safe way to handle knives and guns. Brie has gotten really good with the rifle she can shoot thru the center of a coke can now with a rifle. We always thought that knives and guns are very dangerous and taught our kids how to handle them safely, I dont know anything about knives but I think any woman should know how to shoot, Sterl taught me how to shoot when we first got married but the only thing I ever shot was a blamed hog for rooting up my plants

That is too funny, Miss Wilma! If I had a gun, I'd probably shoot some hogs, too. I think everyone needs a good knife. I'm always asking my hubby for his. I just have a small knife that I actually won at the co-op. It does come in handy with the hay bales.

Would this be just a weekend event? So maybe come up Sat. morning and leave Sun. afternoon? I'd love to come up. Please keep me posted on the date so I can get someone to stay at the house.

Wilma - sent Vi an email. I can't get my password changed on David's laptop, so I'll go to the office in the morning and do it there. :( I hope David can go with us to the KY Flea Mkt. on Friday. He left to go get a bat out of some woman's basement! The law in Floyd County says that if a basement is finished, then he has to go and get the bat out!

Wilma - David can get off work by 11am tomorrow. Can you and Sterl meet us at the Fairgrounds for the Flea Market? We go in Gate 4 and it's in the West Wing. The antiques are in the annex...when you get on Ring Rd. from gate 4, you'll see Broadbent Arena on your left. Park and walk towards Broadbent. Go in the white doors just past Broadbent on the outside of the West Wing Annex. We can just stand there and wait for you if we get there first. I don't have an email from Vi. I'll call you in a while when we get to Denny's with my dad and if you have her phone number, I'll get if from you and call her. I finally got my password changed! We went to the Flea Market today and it's a good one...folks were all to wall and I need to go again to see what I missed today! LOL!!!!!

Hey girls (Wilma and Janice)!!!!...just got back from running around all day--first for me, then for my poor mom. Her car broke down on the way home from Kohl's this evening, and it looks like I'm going to have to help her tomorrow (Friday) get around to work and home--they can't take her car until Monday!!! Another reason why GMC is troubled....We had to go to the grocery and the petfood store, so she could get items she needed for the weekend.

I'm super bummed about missing out...but it's my mom, afterall :) Two weeks ago, when we had our radiator issue, she loaned us her car because she was on vacation all week and didn't need it. Very generous.

Anyway, It's about 11:00 pm right now, and I just changed clothes into my pj's--is it too late to call you Wilma?.

Sorry you can't go, Vi. We'll miss you a ton! Much love to your mom. There's another Flea Market in January, just don't think it'll be as big as this one.

Carol Sue - How are things in your neck of the woods? How much snow? Do you have power? I thought I heard something about a power outage in Spokane.

Too bad I had to work yesterday or I would have met up with you chickadees. I'm going to try to convince dear ole hubby to possibly go this afternoon. It looks like it stays open until 7PM tonight. Wilma said that it was a good one.

My new hunting of antiques now includes old Johnny Cash & Waylon Jennings records that are at least in somewhat good condition. My plans are to put them in those picture frames for LPs and have them lined up on one of my walls in our home office. I use to have Alison Krauss's Now that I Found You on LP but sold it on ebay. I wish I still had it, but it did bring some good money at the time.

Miss Violet....I hope things are going well with you guys! Feb will be here before you know it. There are lots of babies being born amongst our family and friends. My cousin's wife (Wilma's daughter in law) and then another cousin on my mom's side of the family, along with 2 of our friends and a girl I work with are all expecting.

Hope you guys have a great weekend!!

It was a very good one with a separate section for antiques, Jess. We had a wonderful time with Wilma and Sterl. Sterl and David went into the 'new' section and Wilma and I scoured the old stuff! ;) Ask Wilma about her parrot! :D Then we ate at Smoketown Barbecue(the place where the greens for our gathering came from)...yum! There's another Flea Market in January, I just don't know if there will be good antiques at the next one.

Miss Wilma, your record album stash sounds a lot like mine. Larry thought they were all gone and put my turntable in the trash...grrrrr. I used to spend some late nights at the radio station in Burbank CA and had free rein to take most any albums I wanted. Got all the Christmas cards off the wall one year too, very cool.
I'd love to do a wall with the old album covers and photos of me with country musicians I was able to meet...just no wall space I can think of for that right now. My daughter still has the photo Waylon signed to her when she was about 8 or 9 and treasures it.
What fun it would be to go junking with all you sweet ladies and gents. I'm still planning Farm Fair next July and who knows after that.

I love those old country albums,We have an old windup victrola that I hate but Sterl seems to have put claim to it, He has all the old Carter records, Roy Acuff etc. Over 700 of them., There are a lot of Jazz records here to I should send them to Rene for her bash.

Gosh, Miss Wilma, there is not a treasure you do not have! 700 old albums? YOu know what hubby and I did? When our daughter married and moved away, we went on a cleaning spree. We had no turntable anymore, so we put two moving boxes of albums at the street. Three, for decades of records....they weren't there 20 minutes. I was ready to be free of them, but think of them sometimes when I read the posts above! We had old Carter records, old Beach Boys, Beatles, Frank Sinatra, oh well! I love old country, too.

Did you all see Geroge Jones get a big award the other night on the Kennedy Center Awards? It was great.
