OHHHHHH KARIN! i can hardly wait! i woke up this morning and the air was 'chilled' .. and my mind started racing from blanket to coverlet to quilt! i'm gonna' gather ALL my extras and put 'em in a big pile .. in case it gets COLD outside in a coupla' weeks! BUT then .. although it will be 'cozy' . we can indeed all shove the furniture aside and snuggle up side by side!

plumber didn't call back ... but oh my .. what a mess out in that yard. we're gonna' go get some more grass seed and 'hay' to cover it with .. hopefully, it will all come back before winter sets in!

made a quick run to town today .. got some paint for a cupboard i want to put in the treehouse .. but it's toooooo FIRE ENGINE red .. gonna' give it a brush coat of 'barn red' tomorrow. we also put two big green chairs and table in the tree house to 'sit upon'. it is lovely!!!

got a coupla' more plants .. had a 'yard chair' that i wanted to brighten up! RESCUED that darling olde dolly house and put it in a 'garden area' near my pyracantha and bittersweet bushes! sooo happy i didn't BURN it!

watched a movie on tv tonight (i'm not about to give up my TV gurlfrenz!) too many fun shows on there from time to time .. i think (like most everything else in life) .. it is jus' MODERATION .. a bigger 'time-chunker' in my life is this computer contraption .. but i'm sure not going to unplug it either!

gonna' say my prayers and hit the bed now. hope everyone has a fun friday! xoxo

Frannie I swear my eyes are playing tricks on me this morning. I had read your post about putting in a new septic system earlier but my oh my when I saw the picture of your plumber standing in the trench I swore for a minute that you were building a teepee out~house with some sort of drainage. The backhoes long arm formed a perfect triangle and it was all I noticed behind the happy plumber. I had to look at a few times before I noticed the rest of the machine. Oh what a giggle I gave my self for being so silly this morning.

ohhh .. christina .. you made me go take another look! ha! and you are right .. a "tee-PEE PEE-PEE" .. now wouldn't that jus' be a HOOT! lordy! if they don't get this fixed soon .. that might be JUST what we will have to resort to!

got a garbled message from the plumber on 'la machine' .. that they LOOKED for a septic tank all the way down that hill .. and THERE IS NONE down there!!! oh great! so much for that dang 'witchin' stick our plumber uses!

now I KNEW exactly where it was .. cuz' he'd dug it up about two years ago!!! he did finally find it and dug it up and said "THE 'BAFFLE' (whatever that is!!!) was STUCK and the septic wasn't working!

i asked hank if he thought he actually FIXED it (remember .. for over $700!!!)

well, i'm shorely hoping this is all figgered out before the gurlz arrive in a coupla' weeks!

we haven't planted that grass-seed yet for fear they might have to do some more DIGGING!

Beautiful beach scenery (richard gere wasn't too shabby scenery either!!) i'll see if i can upload those pics as i did a fun 'walk-about' this morning! xo

AS ABOVE, SO BELOW.
AS WITHIN, SO WITHOUT

what a wonderfully profound belief!!! can you gurlz guess how olde this thought is? (answer below)

thank you so very much sweet Christina for gifting this dear book to me. the ideas in this book have been around for as long as time has existed .. it is within all of us. sometimes i think we just 'forget' to apply them to our lives. i first came into deep contact with these thoughts ... MANY MOONS AGO ... when reading "The Power of Positive Thinking" .. by Norman Vincent Peale.

This little book tells us that "The Secret is the Law of Attraction".

One of the contributors to this book believes: "Everything that's coming into your life you are attracting into your life. And it's attracted to you by virtue of the images you're holding in your mind. It's what you're thinking. Whatever is going on in your mind you are attracting to you.

WOW! powerful belief!!

This belief is written in the great poetry of notables such as William Shakespeare, Robert Browning and William Blake. Musicians such as Ludwig van Beethoven .. Artists such as leonard da Vinci .. Great thnkers such as Socrates, Plato, Ralph Waldo Emerson, Pythagoras, Sir Francis Bacon, Sir Isaac Newton, Johanne Wolfgang von Goety, Victor Hugo .. in their writings and teachings.

It goes on to say that religions, such as Hiduism, Hermetic traditions, Buddhism, Judiasm, Christianity and Islam and civilizations long before our own delivered it through their writings and stories.

It was recorded in stone in ... are ya' ready for this! (see the words above) .. cuz' here's the answer to where that saying was found and WHEN: 3,000 BC (The Emerald Tablet). Actually, this book proclaims this 'law' began at the beginning of time. It has always been and will always be.

(for those of you who are interested .. i researched The Emerald Tablet .. and oh my! what i believe that what we actually know in ouor lifetime .. compared to 'all that is out there' in history and time .. wouldn't fill the point of a straight pen!)

The Age of the Emerald Tablet

Unfortunately, the original Emerald Tablet has not survived or has been hidden away for safekeeping. As I noted, a few legends trace it as far back as Genesis, while other evidence suggests that it was written about 3000 BC, when the Phoenicians settled on the Syrian coast. The only complete modern text is a very early Latin translation, which exists in three versions. These three Latin versions correspond to the three Greek language revisions of a still older translation of the original Emerald Tablet.

NOW gurlfrenz .. Frannieville is a 'safe place' .. only kind-hearted and kind-thinking frenz visit here. Soooooooooo .. ef'fen you have opposing views or additional or different beliefs .. that is WONDERFUL too. I am just sharing this wonderful little book that has come into my life with you to consider .. if you wish to re-visit this POWER in your own life .. or even 'try it out' for the first time.

This is THE TRUTH of these authors (and my own by the way). It surely is (among other things .. helping me through this little 'chapter-ette' in my book of life). I believe it is uplifting and hopeful and a 'less scary' way to live our lives.

I'll share more of it as i read and understand more of it .. and put it into practice.

HAPPY THOUGHTS! XOXO

Gorgeous day here in NM this Morning!!! A little hint of Autumn possibly on its way!! ......I am Running in and out doing some errands and I'm in the middle of cutting up some fresh veggies for hommade soup to enjoy tomorrow. It was fun chatting with a few neighbors as I was pulling out some weeds from the front yard early this a.m (our neighborhood seems to really Buzz on early weekend mornings).......And tonight Dave and I are going to a good friend's Home for his Retirement Party!

I Recently looked over "The Power of Positive Thinking" also, and Norman Vincent Peal's determination of the 'simple truths about life' are so important and a good reminder to me.......

~~~~~~~~~~~~ "You must believe in yourself because without a humble and reasonable confidence in your own powers, you cannot be successful or happy."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~and a couple of important things that you can also take away with you from reading "The Power of Positive Thinking" is.............. .......Be Kind to Yourself... and Believe in Yourself and in Everything You Do.....and Expect the Best and Get the Best!

Until Later,
xoxo

i bounced out of bed early this morning with 'happy thoughts' .. took my book to The Tree House and read a few chapters .. then headed towards 'town' to take a few things to glovers station .. stopped by city hall first and picked up some brochures of 'our town' and 'county' to give to all the gurlz visiting for our gathering in a coupla' weeks. then stopped by the plaid peacock for a quick hug from mimi and 'peaches'. after shoving a few more treasures into my booth at GS .. i headed down the road to PUMPKIN JOE's place and loaded up on yet more pumpkins!! THEN .. met dear friend larraine at Cathy Cobblestone's. HA! we were going to go there and have 'lunch' of bean soup and corn bread .. but NOOOOOO!!! i couldn't wait .. and had TWO sausage burritos' at LA CASA McDONALDS!!! Sugars were high-ish .. sooo .. i only had a bite of beans (but brought a buncha' yummy desserts home for honey-hunk). Got two beautiful purple asters too!

Took some photos while there to share with you:

another dear 'vignette'!

those yummy bean soups .. and love the painted topiary trees!

a close up of the candle/fall leaves GOURD

love this garden 'cloche'

sweet spot to sit

what a cute hay bale 'spider'!!! (cathy managed to poke one of those spider legs through her big toe .. AND .. she also BROKE another toe!)

kathy's beautiful farm house! it is always wonderful to stop by cobblestone's
during their fun events .. i usually get to see her sweet mom and grammies too!
