SOFIA'S SECOND BIRTHDAY:
instead of 'feather boas' .. i made these fancy little 'tulle netting' head-dresses .. and when the 'moms, aunts, grammies came through the door .. they were adorned with one
this was the 'doorway' to Fancy Fia's Tea Party room! she LOVED running through it .. then i taught her to 'fancy walk' into it singing ... FANNNNNNNCIEEEEEEE F-I-A .. la de la da ... (i think she preferred to 'running'!)

all of her grandparents and great grandparents on her dad's side are living .. on her mom's side .. it's just hank and me ... but ... we love spoiling them!

sofia's cakes .. we had a cherry/pecan pink cake .. a sweet little 'tiny cake' with TWO candles on it ..
and a dozen decorated happy birthday cupcakes ... ALL were eaten!

sofia's little sister iszabel arrives in her 'fancy finery' ballet tu-tu too! (that's cousin george holding her).

cousin audrey arrives in her fanciest frock too!
ga and ga-da .. gave her her first bike with helmet and basket.
gramma emma and poppa george gave her a sweet doll-house .. she has played with it constantly since opening it!
her "GA" and "GA-DA" (that would be me and hank) gave her FANCY NANCY .. and EVERYTHING that comes with the dollie .. two tu-tu's .. and a cute trunk to keep it all in too.

Hey Frannie!! I'm Still Here! Was feeling headachy, just sort of icky, sooo I decided to "hit the hay" early....took a good book and read in bed and fell asleep! and NOW for some reason, I woke up, and ..... I can't get back to sleep! So I meandered onto the Forum. I'll email ya later sweet Friend!
Sofia's Party!!!! What a FUN HAPPENING! She must have been in 7th heaven! Well for sure in 2nd Heaven!!!! A 2nd Birthday fit for a Princess! Absolutely precious!!!! loved the photos! You are Such a WONDERFUL, loving Nana!!!!
It is back to dreamsville for me now...must have something coming on...think it must be a touch of a bug or somethin'!

speaking of which: sofia's actual birthday is TODAY (well yesterday .. it's almost 2 a.m. now! she had a bad cough .. so wednesday took her to the doctor today .. she has an ear infection in BOTH ears AND the CROUP!! and ALL at her birthday party! what a little trooper! xo

got this cutie little woolen victorian slip for FIVE BUCKS in Findlay .. the wonderful wool blanket i got there too!!! (had to pay a bit for it .. but oh my .. what wonderful 'angel dresses' it will make on my dollies this winter! (OR .. to snuggle under on a snowy night!)
last time i was in toledo .. i got one of two little wooden swings .. hung one from a fruit tree for my dollies. the other one was still there .. soooooo .. i brought it home this trip!
i just couldn't pass these up! two pairs of children's sock stretchers .. (i have one adult wire pair too!) will probably do a 'clothesline' and drying rack theme in my teensy little laundry room .. and these will look dear in there!

got my little brown 'bean pot' .. AND the wonderful brown barrel PITCHER .. i already have 6 of the brown barrel mugs!
see the GREEN ones in the background .. i'm still looking for more of those!
i DID find the yellow ware barrel mug in toledo for FIVE BUCKS ... found another one in findlay .. but it was TWENTY-FIVE DOLLARS .. decided to just put it on my 'wish list' along with the green ones .. and keep hunting until i find one closer to that five dollar mark!

i THOUGHT i was finished collecting grey enamel pie pans .. but i found SEVEN of them in ohio ... between $5. and $10. each .. the more 'dinged' ones, of course, were the cheaper ones!
got this little grey enamel 'roasting pan' too!

AND .. be still my heart ... THIS was in booth 103 .. i must have run back and forth a hundred times to look at it and ponder if i reeeeeeeeeeely wanted to part with a hundred bucks for it!
well, as you can see .. my heart won the battle over my heart!
VERY EARLY GREEN PAINT .. 'noodle board' .. the other side is all chippy green! this is one of my fav pieces now!

brooke .. i was hoping for Iszabella too ... but they went with Iszabel .. more 'hungarian' .. which they both ARE!
i suggested the iSZ because their last name is SZollosi .. and it is a tad different!
Sofia calls herself either FIA or FO-FIA .. cute!

brooke .. i just added the 'roasting pan' on the pie plate post .. it was only $6.50.
i swear .. some stuff is sooooooooooooo HIGH and other things are so reasonable .. it is truly hit or miss.
the muffin tins i find are almost always on the HIGH side.
