Well, I'll just post it here...it's from Mayfair Farm, Kentucky.

1 9 inch pie crust--you choose (homemade or no), but unbaked
1/2 cup butter, melted
1 1/2 cups white sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
pinch of salt
3/4 white vinegar

Mix butter and sugar slowly, simmering and stirring for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool slightly, stirring constantly. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well. Add vanilla, salt and vinegar; mix well. Pour filling into pie shell and bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 and bake for 20-30 minutes, until center is set. Pie is done with when the center quivers slightly.

Easy and oh so good, Carol Sue!!!! Let me know what you think :)

Yeah Jonnie I am feeeling much better, I just over did it when I was doing all those pillows, Washing all that heavy ticking on a wringer washer and bending filling the pillows up is rough on the back, My company has just left,They are on the way to do Cinnamon creek, I was going to go down but it is just a primitive show so I decided I had rather go to a big auction here tomorrow, wish you girls could come and go with me, but any way I had a real good sale here and dont have to pay the big expenses for a show, She also ordered more things I have to have done by the first of June. Today is my big day I am now 63 years old

Oh my goodness...you don't look a day over 20, Miss Wilma!!!
Happy, happy birthday to you. I hope you'll treat yourself kindly tomorrow at the auction, and by something JUST for you (and not to put in your shop). Can't wait to see you next weekend, and at least you'll have tons of helpers to pack it back up again!!!

I guess you did over do it--you've got more energy than a toddler!!

Happy belated birthday, Miss Wilma! Sorry to miss a good auction. It should be nearly auction season around here, too. Can't wait!

Alrightee then...the time is nigh for the gathering!!!! Woohooo!!!!

I was thinking about what I'm going to bring to eat and thought, since some of us will probably come equipped with "treats" to share with our farmgirl friends, and antique booth neighbors and families, I'd post what I'm doing....
Feel free to add something if you're going to bring an item...don't feel that you have to, though :) It's for fun and farmgirl fellowship (and buying antiques and goodies!!!) remember?

I'm bringing homemade Chess Pie
Chicken and Pesto Bow Tie Pasta Salad to feed the masses
and maybe something else. Probably some "finger food"

I surely can't wait, and they say that there is a very small percentage of rain for that day. Shoot, the sky should be all dried up with the rain we've had the last week and a half!!!! It continues through Saturday, too....blech!

Last time, I wanted a teapot and a sign...check. This time, I want a little hat stand if I can find it--like an old store fixture--to display my lovely vintage 1920's dove gray cloche with a rhinestone accent and pheasant feather. Too pretty I've decided, to sit in it's box!

What about the girls who are meeting up? Are you looking for anything in particular?

Jonni - I love it that you have goals! I just kind of stumble around and things sort of find me...
I'm bringing a fancy cake to celebrate Miss Wilma's anniversary, birthday, and every other special occasion that happens in May. I've got plates and napkins. I need to get some plastic forks/spoons, too.
The finger food thing sounds great. Do you want me to pick up some fresh fruit?

I will most probably bring a roasted potato salad, & if I am lucky enough to find some of the marinated goat cheese that I got last week at the Ripley's farmers market I will get some of that & a loaf of some crusty bread.
I am WAY low on cash, but hubby bought me a beautiful diamond aquamarine pendant for our 10th anniversary & my bday & it came with a 16 in chain that is too small to wear with any kind of turtleneck in the winter, so I exchanged for a longer chain. I was thinking about trying to find a smaller antique type white gold chain for wearing with other neck styles.
Other than that, just miss wilma's pillows!
What time are you guys getting there???
