Hey there Kentucky girls...and Ohio, Indiana, and anyone else that wants to join in the fun. May 18th, the Kentucky farmgirls will be gathering at the Burlington Antique Show in Burlington, KY. It is in northern, Kentucky near Covington/Cincinnati area. Here is the website for the show: http://www.burlingtonantiqueshow.com/

The show itself starts with early buyers at 5AM-8AM for $5 admission and then from 8AM-3PM it is $3 per person. It is well worth it and there are all kinds of goodies to be found. Our very own Miss Wilma and Janice will be having booths showcasing their goodies.

We would love to invite everyone to come join in the fun. Just let us know here if you are planning on coming. Last time was an absolute BLAST to say the least and we had a great group. It rained for a little bit there at the end, but that didn't damper our spirits. There is never a dull moment and hopefully we will have some music playing as well from our farmboy hubbies. :)

Soo it's official...18 days and counting...can't you smell those apple pies from Miss Jonni calling your name?

Woot!!! I'm so excited and can't wait to bum around with all you gals.

So nice of Jess to formalize the invite and have all the facts handy (just like her to be SO sweet AND organized!)...I was just thinking myself how exciting it will be...I probably won't get a darn bit of shopping done for running my mouth, but that will save money in the long run, anyway!

Now, I am off to bed...with dreams of pies and good friends.

Uh Oh! I've only got EIGHTEEN days????? I better start packing stuff in boxes!!! I think I'll start tomorrow(off from work). Right now is the best time for me - I'm taking steroids because I have a slight case of poison ivy(got it from the dogs finding it on a fenceline this time) - and I have so much E N E R G Y !! :D If only steroids weren't so bad for long term useage. They sure help me get lots of work done!

Ugh. Energy + poison ivy....I still don't think it's a trade off :) I think that's how I ended up with it last week in the crook of my arm--Miss Bad Seed running through all those woods and weeds!

Can't wait to shop, shop, shop!!!

Jonni you crack me up! I need to figure out something to bring to the festivities. Do you guys know that it is a certain little antique lady's anniversary & their birthday is just before that? ;-)

Sounds like Janice is itching to go. haha. I hope that you get to feeling better Janice!!

I can't wait that's for sure. I was telling hubby our little change jar may have to get cashed in. It's almost full to the top. :)

Jess - I just sent you an email. I really feel fine. The poison ivy is just on a few of my fingers and it isn't so bad. In fact, the steroids make me have so much energy, I could paint my house! And your house, and Jonni's house, and Miss Wilma's house...LOL!!

Well, it's Saturday and I've still got lots of energy! Pills don't run out until Monday! LOL! But I'm at my husband's animal shelter and if we don't get home soon, we're going to have to sleep here with Angel. The expressway closes down from 5 until 8 because of the KY Derby traffic getting routed out of town. Miss Wilma - if you want to run away, you can come to Irvington. I'll run away, too, and we can move into our trailer while we finish the farmhouse. I went junking today and bought something so big I think David's going to run away from me! :D I'll post a pic of it tomorrow. Can you guess what it might be?????

Shoot, Amy, wish you could, too. It's certainly not very far from you, afterall. It happens every month until October, so maybe some time again.

P.s. Thanks for your addition to the travel guide. I'm running a little behind with Spring kicking in so much in the garden. I sure hate to be inside on pretty days!

Amy I wish that you could join us!

I can't believe that it is just a little over a week away!! Woohoo!! Hopefully I'll still have a lot of energy rolling. I have to take photos of a truck pull the night before. From what I've heard via email and here on the board, we'll have a good size gathering again. I cannot wait. :o)

Miss Wilma - I got a confirmation from the man at Burlington yesterday in the mail. My space is number 4. Is that close to you? I sure hope so.

Woo Hoo!!! It's going to be a wonderful time!! I'm getting together my recipes, but I think this time it's going to be true Kentucky Chess Pie, and any requests? I can do the apple again, or the sweet potato, or I can change it up and make y'all come up this way again for some more pie!!!! Just keep you stringin' along each time, hopin' for your favorite!
