Terrific idea Alee!
I did that as soon as I started my blog ..it's a terrific way to help advertise.
I also try to mention whenever I am involved in a little swap here at the farm..to include a link back to the farm in my blog posts.
Also on my "Small Town Living" site I have Mary Jane's magazine cover pictured, and a link posted on our "Resources" page.So anyone that visits that can see and follow the link back here.

Mary Jane-
We can never feel neglected with all the time and energy you put in behind the scenes connecting us all...there is no forum anywhere with people running it the way you and the crew do and we would not be able to afford the true cost of your services if you ever did charge- it is the work of the heart on some level I know. In that respect I feel like it is important to buy what you are selling whenever possible, I have never been disappointed by your creations. Your attention to detail and your creativity resonates with everyone here and you are spoiling us daily with the chance to share thoughts, dreams, questions and the details of our lives. It is a different kind of friendship, with this electronic connection. Those who have come to know you this way feel your warmth the same as if you were a neighbor bringing over some extra eggs. We love you and don't you forget it for an instant.

MJ, we've talked about all this and you know how I feel. You are one of my best students in the "faith not fear" and "Blue light for peace and healing" and "pink light for love". It's amazing to me all the wells of love and generosity that spring from your soul. Whatever I can do for you in my small way, you know I'm always here.

I'd still like to see you as President, tho. And we can all be your cabinet and run the country the Farmgirl way!! Our Secretary of Peace would protect you from the bad guys. Our Secretary of the treasury would spread the word about MJ foods and products so that every American would find value again in home goods and they'd buy.

Wow, I could think up other jobs for our cabinet but maybe other Farmgirls have some ideas.

I love you and I am always here for you. But you know that.

Great idea, Alee. I have a link to the Farm on my website. I'll make sure I put one on my blog, too. Or is that the other way around. Either way, I'll make sure a link is on both. I tell people about MaryJane and all she does and produces all the time. I am so impressed by all she has done, is doing and IS; I can't help but to toot her horn for her.

MaryJane, don't EVER think for one minute that you are not doing enough for us or with us or that you are letting us down. I have never felt that and I don't believe that anyone here has EVER felt that. We all know that you are an incredibly busy woman and even so, you still make time for us. Everything you do is for us. Don't ever worry that you might be neglecting us; it couldn't be further from the truth. I've got your back, too and I'll hang on for the ride forever.

i'm crying and frankly it worries me since the 'puter guy told me not to get my laptop wet. at the time he said it, i thought he meant when I was outside, in the garden, where i keep wanting to take this thing, but at the rate of these tears, he may have forseen wet weather inside too. who knows. When i stop blubbering i might be able to say how much MaryJanes words mean to me and that when i get my computer near my printer i'm going to print her post out and put it with my other treasures (Miss Wilma's precious V-day card, Hubby's Christmas card from farm, etc...) in my MJ Lifebook.
Gotta go blow my nose...

I keep a "Certified Farmgirl" bumper sticker on my truck. But, I have evil children who peel them off when they drive it!!! So, I go to my stash, peel the back off another one and stick it right back on the bumper where it belongs. The supply is running low though. I'm thinking about having it etched into the back window. Let's see them try and get that off! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

HA!, I would be Mama McEvil and not let my children drive unless they promised to not go peelin' any more bumper stickers off *wicked grin*

I'm late to this topic due to illness but I need to have my say:
MaryJane, you are the most selfless and lovely person, I can't imagine feeling neglected. I know something of just how busy as an author, businesswoman and wife and mama and grand mama you are (what did I miss??). Running this forum is a big thing and we all appreciate it so very much I am sure that you didn't mean to become an Icon, and it must be hard sometimes, but we all love you as a fellow sister, a real live person! as well as our Queen bee and would do anything that we could for you.

Big Hugs

I have to go and try to teach myself how to post a link on my new blog. It is a dinky blog, but a blog all the same. And I have not learned how to add other sites to it yet.

Great ideas from everyone! Thanks Tina!

I will probably be the last one on the totem pole but all of you know computers are not my thing but I will find some one to help me.I will have to say that never once have I ever felt neglected, Even though we dont get to talk as much as I would like to I know what a busy life she has , I just carry a picture in my mind of her sweet little laugh when I ve done something silly, and that makes me happy. You know she has to be an Angel amongst us because what other lady has touched as many lives with goodness as she has.My big old Yeller truck looks mighty good decorated with a Mary Jane Sticker . It improved the color a lot

I would like to thank MaryJane for having this great site. Even though I am fairly new here I have so enjoyed finding great women with great ideas. The first time I saw this site I added it to my blog, months ago.
This place is like pass it on. Every one tries to pass on good feelings, good ideas, good support, good friendship, good stories, and just good morals.
Thank-you!

I need to put fresh bumper stickers on my van..there are two of the old type that faded more..but I do love them. I think I will replace one with a certified farmgirl bumpersticker and leave the other one as is. None of my kids at home drive yet so I think mine are safe..haha.
I appreciate this site, you gals and most especially MaryJane SO much. I can't add much more to what everyone has said but wanted to make sure that MaryJane does know that I am so happy to be a part of this...it is a great feeling to know that this is RIGHT.

MaryJane's Farm is in my "Favorite Places to Visit" on my blog which links to here! Also, I took a picture of her magazines on my coffee table to show her off and took pics of her books that I will add soon! I am very grateful to MaryJane and all that she stands for. I have learned so much from her and love her to pieces! Hope to met her someday. My life has changed forever because of MaryJane! xo

MaryJane lee, go girl!

Patricia - Itchy, chic, isn't that just the way? Dang it! Why must chic and stylish always be uncomfortable! :)

Just kidding - we must go forge ahead with our search for "chic is comfy". Hm......a new slogan!

Mary Jane

In early 2007 the moon, sun and stars lined up and I found Mary Jane's. I felt like I had found home. It was a comfortable pair of overalls, wrapped in apple pie, and sweet as honey.

Here you were living YOUR life, YOUR way. I loved it then and I love it now. Your example, and those of so many, of the strong women on this board, encouraged me to make a big move.

I was making over 100,000.00 a year as a sales and marketing manager and I was miserable. My heart yearned to be get back to my roots. I was a farmers daughter and the land had been calling me home for a long time. The stress from my job was taking a major toll on my health. I no longer wanted to close the big deal because what I was selling ment nothing to me. So I stepped back and began to follow my dream. My work went to part time ( the corporation decided having me part time was better than not at all). My husband and I purchsed about 6 acres ( which we moved onto last summer) and began working on some organic dip mixes, herbal bath and beauty products and recycled home decor. Our first Saturday at the farmers market I was terrified. What would happen? Well we cleared over $400.00 in one Saturday. People were asking to carry our stuff in their stores and wanting a website to buy from. It was a bit overwhelming. After a few months we had to step back a bit and decide where we wanted this to go. Well we are moving forward again. Getting licenses and building our customer base. I am developing our website and looking forward to the day I can say goodby to my corporate job. Our company is called The Good Earth Farm. Now, because of a post you sent out regarding a small farm writer, I am writing for About.com.

I tell you all of this because I want you know how much you have inspired me to believe in myself and my dream. I would love to be able to shout your name from the roof top every chance I get. So I will start with my website, then see what we can work out with About.com ( if that is ok with you, hmmmm I feel a blog coming on), I would love some bumber stickers for our local farmer's markets and have you ever considered homebased distributors???? I think there could be a way for farm girls to sell your products and make a little money? Kinda like AVON but MARYJANE instead. Just a thought. Hey I do really well with launching new company divisions....

Seriously a simple thank you does not seem like enough. I will do my best to shout your name to all and I think we need MJ for president stickers!

Since the day I was given the bumper sticker of "Farmgirl, Plowin' Thru" at Frannie's Cabin Creek Farm Gathering with Mary Jane last fall, I couldn't get home soon enough to put in on my truck. I sport it on my bumper with great pride - proud to be a true working farmgirl, proud to be affiliated with such a wonderful group of women (MJF Forum), and honored to have met a lady, Miss Mary Jane, who's impression on me will be everlasting.

Thank you, Mary Jane, for this opportunity to meet, share with, and befriend countless hardworking and good-hearted women. What a blessing!
