Quilt blocks are so much fun. It would be so nice to see the end result when you gals are finished with the tops. Please share some pictures with the rest of us. Thanks for sharing.

I will try to get mine together ASAP and then post them!! I am soooo excited. Right now it is like 60 degrees and it's almost ten at night!! Plus I am watching the WALTONS Easter episode. Reminds me of hopeful times and warm weather coming for real.

warm here too and thunderstormy! i love it. Although my Magnolia opened fully today on a dreary background and I am sure by morning all the blooms will have dropped, oh well pretty while it lasted.

My row of crocuses by the front fence are so beautiful and cheerful right now. The daffodils have their leaves up and a few buds. When we were in NJ this week for appointments, we saw full flower daffodils and forsynthia. I just love all the bulbs that flower followed by flowering trees. It was warm and sunny the past two days. We walked with teh kids after school. It was SO nice!!!

I am going t otry and get my blocks together into a quilt top as soon as I sap these out. I can't wait to see it hanging up on the wall over the loveseat. I just need to go through fabric stash and see if I have something for the sashing and border. I was thinking I might even set these blocks on point.

I plan to stay home all day today if I can. I have a few blocks to embroider and another one to piece for a different club I am in. Unfortunately, I feel sick again!!! I have had this stupid thing in some form ever since I came home from Florida. So, if it is sunny, I will read outside for a while, clean house and sew all day. The trip to Washington, DC is on Monday. Have to feel better by then.

Can you believe that I am actually excited about a 5 hour trip for three days with 85 8th graders? :) They are such good kids.

I laid low today for the most part. My poor cat has been like skin and bones for two weeks (but he is normally skinny and bony) and we got him to the vet today. Turns out he has DIABETES!! How weird is that? He is staying there overnight and we will have to give him insulin daily when he gets home. If he was not such a good boy, I would not be doing this.

Sheryl-lyn, the DC trips sounds wonderful, even with 85 8th graders. I think most kids are good, and I bet you will have fun with all of them. Will you go to the Spcae Museum? It was free years ago when we went. We paid to watch a planetarium show, and it was well worth it.

Still waiting on Debra's blocks. They were not in the mail yesterday. Hopefully, they will be here tomorrow.

The things we do for our pets. We love ours so much, too. Good luck on giving shots, but maybe they will have a pill form for you.

Oh, I never thought about insulin in a pill!! I hope so. He will be coming home on Tuesday sometime and my family will have to take care of him until I get back. They will do a good job.

We are going to the space museum!! We are seeing an IMAX show (Fighter Pilot) there too. We are also going to the International Spy Museum. I have to see baseball, so we are taking in a Baltimore Orioles game on Tuesday night. The kids (especially the boys) are happy about that. Our congressman is giving us a tour of the Capitol Building Tuesday morning. We have so much stuff packed in. See you all again on Wednesday night!! Let's hope I get SOME sleep! :)

OK, ladies, the packages are mailed off!! Yeah!!

If you paid for priority, you should get yours at the end of this week. Otherwise, regular mail may take up to one week.

Please post when you get your package of blocks so I know they arrived safely.

Hope you all enjoy these blocks. It was a lovely swap, various techniques and skill levels. Karin/electridunce made each one of her applique blocks different and special. These are truly works of art. Joyfulmama/Debra made two different blocks. You will probably have to cut these down to size, but they should work out just fine in your quilts.

When you get your tops put together, please post. I am going t odo straight setting as so many are centered like this. I can't wait to go up and pick out my sashing fabric from my stash.

Thank you all for swapping with me. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did. Thank you for the hostess gifts. That was so very sweet of you. I have put notes in some of your packages.

I got my package today. Thanks everyone for all the hard work you put into your blocks. I love them all. I'm waiting for my mother-in-law's upcoming visit to see what she recommends for assembling the top since she is quite the quilter. That oughta keep her busy! lol Thanks again everyone. This was my first swap and it was really fun.
