Its snowing now here, I went outside to watch but the weirdo neighbors are out. I cant wait to be on my own porch. This has been a good weekend DD had her birthday party today,wowzaa!That was fun.Dh and I went and got me a really cute jean jacket for my PATCH!! Then the mail came and so did my goodies from the farm! Chill over and some other good stuff, which I needed!! LoL! Anyhoots I am gonna try to get the crazy kids asleep!Hope everyone is doing GOOD~!!!!

Amanda - got my patch in the mail today as well. I'm trying to figure out how I'm going to embelish it. I was thinking of making it glittery with crystals. LOL What do you think?

Wow it is really strange to me though . I was trying to explain it to my sister in law how cold it is, and how the snow "sounds" ya know. It is very pretty, i took some video for my AuntDeb,she is VERY JEALOUS!! lol. But I think she would freeze up here. Girls I hope you have good nights, Heather I'll see ya Monday!!

Guess I won't be wearing my designer flip flops tomorrow!!!!

Hey everyone,
Hazel and I will be up on the 22nd- if I manage not to kill myself off by then!! This morning around 6 a.m. someone started pounding on my door, and urgently ringing the door bell. I was fast asleep (6 am is not when I get up on Saturdays..), so I shot out of bed; sure that World War III had started, or our house was on fire, etc..and ran for the door. Well, I tried to run for the door, except I tripped over my laptop cord, and went flying! I picked myself up and limped quickly to the door, only to find a young couple who were at the wrong address for their friends...But just to show you that my priorities are in the right place- before I checked myself for bumps, bruises, and broken bones, I checked the laptop!! Well, I survived with only a few minor injuries, so I should count my blessings; but it was a rough way to start the weekend...I hope the rest of it goes better!
I'm really gonna have to fit a lot of "snow fun" into 10 days-especially since I'm gonna be exhausted from all the Christmas projects I'm trying to cram in. By the time I get to Spokane, I'll be lucky if I have one brain cell left-you'all are gonna think I'm a blithering idiot!! I better think of some way to dazzle you before I get there so no one notices that I'm half asleep for most of the visit! Hmmm....what can I do???? Wait, Spokane has no Trader Joes, does it???? I feel a nafarious bribery plan hatching.....okay, so it's not that brilliant of a plan; that's what you get with one brain cell.. 
Hope everyone is having a peaceful, enjoyable weekend-keeping warm, and having fun. Amanda, I'm glad you're starting to like the snow-although I hope that it doesn't take me 4 years to think it's okay! Heather, if it makes you feel any better, I've had to retire the flip flops for winter, also- no snow, but it's been in the 50's during the day and it's 36 here right now- so California's cold, too- just no fun snow....But I think I my take Carol Sue's example and curl up on the couch under a quilt, and not move!!

audrina your a hoot and between you and me we might have two brain cells, so your on good ground.
manda and heather you guys are a riot!!! have fun on monday house hunting, i will be getting to drink that lovely orange stuff for my glucose test and poked for blood etc. isnt being pregnant fun. oh yeah and for some reason i cant seem to sleep more then four hours at a shot. dang it
i must find my wool socks and get some fuzzy slippers

Thought just came to mind and I have to share. I was born in Reno, but when my parents divorced (I was 7), mother immediately headed back to where she was from, Los Angeles. Anytime I was able to spend Christmas with my Dad, we would talk about snow. Seems like every time, he would gently wake me up Christmas morning and tell me to look outside...and Yep, it would be snowing. Good memories of a great man who died way too young...at 60, of Leukemia. 31 years and I still miss him so much.

My mama died at 64...way too young. I think of her every time I smell lilacs. I miss her too. You never stop missing them, but it softens with time. That is a very special memory though.
I'm with you Ronna. I love snow. We just went for a winter walk with our three dogs and they love snow so much. Got into tossing snowballs at them and each other. Not good snow for it, but we had such fun. My pom thinks he is so tuff *heehee* growling at me to throw the snow ball so he can chase it and try to beat the big dogs to try and find it. Snow is magic.

I love snow as long as I don't have to drive in it. When it starts to stick, I head home. In '91, I got in the middle of a SoCalif snow storm going to work from east of Palmdale to North Hollywood. Took me 7 1/2 hours to go 65 miles; about 3 hours sitting on the overpass that later fell in the last big Earthquake. After that, I decided I didn't do snow days if I can help it at all. Last winter, Larry came home from work in Alaska late at night and it was very icy. He called to ask why I wasn't at the airport to get him and told him I wasn't coming in, so he rented a 4wd pickup to get home. Should have just rented a room for the night, would have been much cheaper. He was not at all happy, but I wasn't going to drive the 40 odd miles into Reno on ice.
Son said he had about 3 inches of snow in Ogden Utah and think my daughter in Winnemucca NV had a bit too. North of Reno got some, but we just got flurries here.
