What great pics of all of our blocks , Sunshine! I haven't decided what to make with mine yet. I'm in no hurry though - I'm sure it will come to me!

Sheryl- lyn,
I love the block you made with the poinsetta material!
Did you make different ones? Sunshine had some posted from you that were different and I know lots of people didn't make all their blocks the same.

Sunshine,
Those blocks are all beautiful. I'm sure you will have them together in no time.

I think I might make a few more of my own to make the top bigger. Everyone here likes to grab a quilt and the couch and eventually we end up sharing so I thought a little bigger might make sharing easier.

Denise: I did two different types of blocks. The one was a straightforward nine patch. Jess and I made them the same way. The other blocks I made were all called elongated star, but since I used a whole bunch of fabrics that were different, they all looked different.

I made about 6 extra blocks to make a full sized quilt too. I had terrible blocks that I started for the swap and hated the work that was involved for such a plain looking block. I will use them in my quilt too.

Denise: I just looked at those blocks again on Sunshine's blog. Those were my version of the nine-patch. You might have gotten Jess's since we shared that second set. Confused? ha! We made those as Clare's blocks for the swap. We wanted her to have a full set of blocks to make a quilt from.

Hello everyone!

I received my blocks and they are just beautiful!!! Thanks so much for such a fun swap. I too made another set that I wasn't too thrilled about to send so I made a second set. I will use the first set either as the back or mixed in to make the quilt larger, don't know just yet.

Thanks again girls!!

Hi all!
I am so glad that everyone is happy with their blocks. And Camille I believe is the last to receive hers.
I have been a little busy with work these past two weeks. But I hope that things easy up a bit soon.

I am almost done with the backing to the quilt I have posted. I like to make the back with more then one piece of fabric. This way if it gets flipped over it looks like a different quilt and not just a plain sheet of fabric.

And I just received some great news from a fellow farmgirl. She is going to help me out with the quilting of that piece.

It is amazing to me that people from all over the states that have never met or seen each other can be so caring to each other. I commend you all. you truly are a great group of ladies!

Dear ladies, just got back home to Kuwait last night and when I opened the packet with all your blocks I was really thrilled. Thanks for the beautifull work, the superb fabrics you used and thanks for taking the time to make them. I will post pictures of the top whan I am done but need to make a few extra blocks. That was my first swap ever and I will do it again, it is a lot of fun.
Special thanks to Kathy for hosting it with such grace.

Jessica,
Thanks. I will post more photos tonight on the train set up. It is getting bigger and bigger. What once was going to take up only half my basement appears to be taking over the whole thing. My treadmill is now pushed up against the wall. I am waiting for Jeff to try and move my sewing area to the garage! He needs to get back to work! Either that or we need a bigger basement.
