Beautiful blocks, Autumn. I am so glad to have found all of these wonderful creative women and to share in your lives. I intended today to get going on the block swap, woke up to seven inches of heavy, wet snow, and freezing rain. I had to run into town to do a couple of errands and when I came home I once again slid right off my driveway and into a snow b ank - again. After shoveling snow for a bit, it seemed more like shoveling cement, so I gave up. Tomorrow should be interesting, I will have this large circular ice rink. Ah well. Tonight will be a good night to sew, I think.
Sorry to whine about the snow, it is just getting so messy. And I have a huge leak in the window in my laundry room! I feel like my house is protesting winter too. I decided I better get Triple A again, it's hard to give them all that money, when I think of what $60 could buy, but I have a feeling I'll be calling on them again..... Tomorrow morning I go to my regular quilt meeting, unless it is cancelled again because of the weather.Ho hum. Well, I better get to my sewing , Karin

I'm whining every day now! our snow is slush and freezes over and rains into ice every other day. I am glad we got out to get groceries and were prepared this time. It's been so bad that the pizza delivery guy won't come up the hill to my area of town!
Danny boy is suspended from school for the rest of this week....for fighting...so he's here to keep me company! whine whine

Whoops! Autumn, I forgot to say: You are such a lucky lady to have seven grandbabies, you must have a quilt factory at your house. I can't imagine how much fun that must be. I have four grand nephews, 11 through 4 years old, but two of them live in England, one in California and one in southern Maine. I don't see them often enough, but I enjoy making quilts for them and sending them books. And of course I do have my imaginary grand children to dream about. Karin

Well they are only 4 patch- I just gussied them up a bit with some embroidery.
I may add more- they worked up so quickly!

I'm not moving very fast on this quilt but slowly I am getting started.
It's a 3-color(beige,red & green) applique. I posted a picture a page or two back- It's called Grace & Glory, by Mary Sorenson.
The background is a tone on tone cream beige with dragonflys.
I am trying to keep just a bit of whimsy in the traditional.

Adorable Jess!
They should fetch a good price!
I am starting the wedding quilt- there are lots of tiny leaves and stems.
I was a little disappointed in the instructions- she only mentioned the amount of material - never did tell how many of each color etc. Also the only picture is fairly small so it's kinda gonna be a guess on my part.

Thank you. I did not attend the event, I am usually on the less social and more helping side of these things but I heard they went for a lot! I will have to find out how much!

I finally started the churn dash quilt I got the Kaffe Fassett fabric for!! It's on my blog. For some reason, I could not put those pictures on this forum. Probably, I am too tired to do it right tonight!

I'm cutting pieces for my applique quilt and doing embroidery.
Nancy Jo got me inspired with her pictures on her blog!
The applique pieces are slow going and I have to feel something moving along!

Jess, the quilt is gorgeous. I don't know how you can sew much less have time for yourself with your busy household. Hod did the auction go?
