I have so many recipe books, no GBP unfortunately, but many I have only used one recipe from. I need to put them on Marketplace for $1 each to get rid of them. Plus we have quite a few from Ed's sister when she passed. She didn't cook much but seemed to collect the specialized ones liike Italian, French, etc. LOL!

I used to teach cooking and had tons of cookbooks. Now I have about 10. Most recipes you can find on the internet.

Bonnie, that is true. In fact I find it easy to go to all recipes and type in the name of the recipe I need. Of course then they give you options...so I look for five starred ones.

Cookbooks are nice, but you are both right - no one really uses them any more. The Internet makes it too easy to find good recipes. I have so many recipe books that I don't use, and they take up so much space that I could use for something else.

I occasionally send them to my daughters. They cook

I love cookbooks and have quite a collection. I do think it's a good idea to go through them. I'm thinking of getting rid of some of my Pioneer Woman cookbooks (except her first one). I don't really make anything out of them. I've been watching the food network channel. Their app give you access to so many recipes. Despite the convenience of the app, I love sitting down and reading a cookbook. I like lots of picture and the stories being a dish. You don't get that on the internet. Catch you all later! Cheers!

With everyone feeling more comfortable with gatherings, our quilting group decided to start getting together again. We are working out of Kim Diehl's new book Simple Whatsnot.

We all enjoy making small quilts. They are such wonderful accent pieces. Our first project is called Hickory Dickory and this is my version:

I actually have it hanging on the door of my quilting cabinet.

Hum ... you get to see my Lego space collection! LOL

Well that's it for now. Looking forward to see what you have been creating. Cheers!

I like both of your projects, Carole and Judith. My little quilting group hasn't started back up and we may not. We are down to 4 people because two of our members are not feeling up to it, and another moved out of the area.

I working on organizing my sewing room and getting things done ll, at least working on them) when I find unfinished projects.
1. I am finishing a dress I cut out about 12 years ago - not quite sure it will fit when I'm done. Plus the sleeve pattern piece seems to be missing, so I am going to have to adapt another one. Phooey!
2. Making 4 flannel pillowcases: 2 for our bed (red trucks with flowers in the back) and 2 for my DIL with llamas dressed for Halloween. Had to buy a coordinating flannel for the contrasting outer edge.
3. Shortening a dress I made years ago (and, yes, it still fits).

I am also finishing up my Recycled Denim project for the swap I'm hosting. Signups are still open if you'd like to join.

Carole,
Your little quilt is so sweet.
I personally am a Lego fan so enjoy the added pleasure of seeing your space sets.

Judith,
What a pretty little quilt.

It will be interesting to maybe find a quilt group here. I'm sure there are more options for that here.

I look forward to getting things set up to work on my quilts again.

Denise --Check out the local quilt shops. I was in a wonderful sewing group of ladies but 3 moved to Arkansas, one moved to Iowa, one to Idaho, one to Arizona, and two to heaven, leaving just two of us so I joined a small quilt group at the only quilt shop left near me. "Near me" is an hour drive one way but worth it. I'm afraid I will soon be the only quilter in California.

LOL! My small group that met at a local library is going by the wayside, too. There were 8 and one left town. Then of the 7 left, the pandemic kinda took its toll - 1 doesn't get out much because she has been falling down, another hasn't been feeling well, 1 moved away, that leaves 4 of us, but I am now over an hour away one-way. And the quilt shop in town was so damaged during our snowmagedon this February that they just took the insurance and closed up shop. All the fabrics were damaged and most else, too. DARN!

Well darn! Not even a going out of business sale. I can no longer count on one hand the number off quilt shops that have gone out of business around here; it now takes two hands to count. We're going back to being a dying breed again.

Well, there was nothing to sell, even at a discount, because of the water damage. A pipe burstin the ceiling and flooded over everything.

Love the Legos; my son must have had millions of them. Its what he wanted for every birthday, even when he was in the Air Force.
The table runner goes together easy, even though I changed the pattern a bit.
Today was productive; I shortened two dresses and mended holes on one from catching on the screen door. That door needs top be replaced! Someday.... Made some curtains to cover the shelf where I had DH take down the ugly green plywood doors.

Oh I would like to get home and make a little quilt or pillow.
I haven’t done one in so long!
I am in the ATC swap for round ATC’s, really kept me busy here in Vibra!
Here it is.
The theme is Summer getaway

I don’t skin dive or swim much but the ocean is beautiful!

Any way this is what came out of my mind! Enjoy
Love your work!

Love you all!
God bless

Denise, I built the Winnie the Pooh. Pooh fan also. Did you see the movie Christopher Robin? Great movie.

The typewriter is here: https://www.lego.com/en-us/product/typewriter-21327

I'm holding back. It's so hard because I love Lego. I did get the red truck. It will be wonderful holiday decoration. The wreath broke my self control lol

Cheers!
