I think connecting house is good. I lived in one when my daughter was little and she road her little bike around and around with all the doors open she could do that even when it was cold. It was great!
I love that moment in time.

The only thing about converting a garage is that they are ( intentionally) not level. So then you must somehow get rid of the oil and grease stains and level the floor.

Oh she was indoors the whole time, each door led her to another room, she went in circles inside of the apartment the whole time and stayed warm, dry and safe.

The old March winds are blowing strong. They have been since last night. I went out at 1 this morning to get my little garden flag and some things off the front porch so they wouldn't blow away. Seems to have brought in a little bit cooler temps. I was more worried about the trees that could blow over. We are up on a hill and when the wind blows across the fields and our pasture it is quite loud. Keeps me from getting good rest. The change of weather brings on the migraines and allergies. Hoping to go out today. But might have to wait til it all subsides a bit.

This past Winter storm,Ulmer, has been really terrible. I heard that there were hurricane force winds in many places across the Plains!! Today on weather.com, the Jet Stream pattern is going to switch back to a better pattern an dtmeps Rae supposed to improve and rain decrease a bit. We are going to have a cold week ahead for Florida, but it is relative cold compared to Most of the US. Besides, you know how I cherish these cooler days because when the heat hits, it won’t be going away for many months!

Denise hope you feel better.

Before I sold my car the two white wicker chairs were on one end of my front porch. Several times when a strong east - west wind blew across the chair on the end would end up in the yard. Now they are on the carport (my sideporch as I like to call it)the wind doesn't bother them because of my neighbor's cedar fence.

I wanted to pickup limbs yesterday but the wind never let up. One six foot branch fell into a bottom pane of the vintage 12 pane window on little garden shed. I have wood over it now put will have to replace it. In the past I have replaced small panes but I don't know if I want to do it anymore. May call the handyman. He will also carry off the big limbs that seem to be ever where now.

I hope the wind lays soon where you live Denise. We have sunshine this morning. I have not been outside but the trees are not thrashing as in the past several days. I have allergy eyes today because of working with alfalfa bags yesterday.

Sara, we have an old cottonwood tree behind the tractor shed. Last year it only leafed out on one side, so we knew that part of the tree was dead. Last fall one big limb fell. My son cut it up and eventually burned it. Recently another huge limb dropped and last week another even larger one. I am amazed at the size of each. That tree is older than me! When I was driving back up from the barn yesterday, I stopped and looked. There are still two huge limbs up high that will fall soon. It is not even safe to be near the tree right now.

Marilyn I don't get around my big oak tree when the wind is blowing strong. I pray for the Lord to protect my home and my two neighbor's from falling limbs so I know I am safe but I also know not to tempt the Lord. My side yard neighbor has a big oak tree and during the ice storm several years ago it dropped a huge limb right through the roof into the living room. When branches drop from 50-60" they fall with such force.

Sun's out - just a gentle breeze - may pickup fallen limbs when it warms up a little.

Between the winds gusting and the rain, my poor Daffodils heads were leaning on the ground, so I picked some more and brought them in. The white ones bloomed since last time I picked them!

I love daffodils and jonquils. Mine came up and the temps dropped, so they didn't last very long. Our weather here in Texas has been the PITS this year so far. Our church was hit by an EF-0 tornado last Saturday morning. Scary for our DIL - she was supposed to be there 10 minutes before and was late because she had to pick up her car at the repair shop. She was first one there.

Connie, this is for you! This is from a very small patch. They were different than the others.
You're are beautiful.
In a few days I may have two or three tulip blooms. They were planted 21 years ago for my first grand baby girl. I was teaching her baby sign language, and wanted her to know what real flowers looked and smelled like. Sure enough one day, she was about ten months old, I was carrying her to the car, when she began sniffing. I stopped , looked at her face, as she wrinkled her little nose up and sniffed again, and I asked if she was getting sick. Then I saw her tiny hand move and her pointer finger pointing at the hyacinths I had planted. I was so excited that she was learning.

Beautiful daffodils! Cute story Marilyn.
JT taught us to learn ASL. My Ohio grandchildren have also learned it as babies. So much easier for when they aren't talking yet.

I was wondering, Marilyn. Do the girls still know the baby sign language?

Woops, just came to read all of your nice comments. Thanks ladies.
Linda, no they don't remember anything from those early months and years. They were taught some real sign language in school. The baby sign language is a way to communicate with them before they can talk. Hadlee began repeating me at nine months. She spoke in sentences when other toddlers her age were just saying single words. Yes, she is smart, but I think one thing that helped her was the CD in my car. I ordered a Christian children's songs cd. Haule

Bay would sing along with it. So Had joined in. So every morning taking Bay to pre k and every day coming home we sang. By the time Hadlee was three she drove Bay crazy, because she had memorized every movie script. Bay would ask me to sit, then she would get in my lap. Had would stand by the chair...the movie would begin, and so would Had, then Bay would get mad at her so Had would run...I guess that is why she would not sit.
