I just finished applying for all the badges I completed this last year but never put in for. Now I need to figure out which ones I want to tackle next, as time permits.

Okay my sweet Shannon would you please tell me what super vitamin you take so I could get some. I am retired, on social security, have medical issues raised our 41 one year old son while my hubby was in the military for 22. Oh,how I looked forward to these days when I had time for myself, crafts, read books and be apart of MJF this past 6 years. Y’all make me tired, Shannon you have 8 children, Sabrina has quite a few too and you talk about the books you read, the merit badges you have earned and be a part of our fabulous HH and MJF’s. Please tell me how you all do it? There just is not enough time in a day to all I want to do.
Help how do all of you ladies do it, all of you not just Shannon but all of you, please share your secrets with me?

Big Hugs,
Debbie

I have three kids who are young cultivator age (doesn't it change when they are 14?) so I am just going to print one of those for them to all reference.

Oh that was weird, it didn't show me the newest posts until after I posted my reply....Congrats Shannon!!! How exciting. I'm sure I have several I could apply for but I have to take the time to look lol.

Debbie, I do have five kids lol. I am actually cutting waaay back on activities and commitments :) Hoping that means I have time for crafts and farmgirl activities that I didn't have time for last year!

Oh Sabina thank you . It seems I have added more, My Wildflower HH, with merit badges and books to read and badges to work on. My MJF new book club on Facebook, another online club I joined outside of MJF, your monthly crochet challenge which is actually the easiest for me. This does not count my monthly swaps or other swaps I will join, did I take on too much? I don’t know yet, but I o know I am bored and need some challenges in the New Year.

Big Hugs,
Debbie

Shannon, you are a rockstar for getting all caught up with your applications! I sat and held Merit for most of the afternoon ;)
Sabrina, you are a rockstar for taking on not only the crochet challenge but the quilting BOM! Thank you for doing that!

Debbie - you're doing great :) Just do what you can for badges - we're all encouraging you!! I think the most important thing is to ENJOY doing. Don't make it stressful for yourself.

Debbie that sounds like plenty!! Maybe it is just right for you! I hope I can keep up with actually MAKING the BOM and Crochet projects lol. But it will keep me trying at least. 2018 is going to be a year of crafting! I have done almost NO crafting in 2017 and that is so sad :(. I'm doing a few swaps too, so excited to get back to my farmgirls!! Now I'm off to print badges!!!

I updated my binder! Here’s some pictures. I really like it, I made a new cover and binder tabs. The last pictures are sub dividers to sort my badge certificates, which I printed and put behind those dividers.

Joyce, that is so cute!!! I want to completely redo mine now. Did you make the picture that you have on the front of your binder?

Debbie, the picture on the front is my certificate from my sisterhood - the first one. I had to trim and cut it to make it fit on my binder cover, but I thought it was worth it for my cover.

Joyce, I love your binder! Where did you find all the great photos to print out and decorate it with? I am waiting for a couple of things to come in that I ordered for mine. Can wait to do mine now.

Thank you Debbie & Denise :) The photos are all clipart that I searched for - for example, I searched in google "vintage kitchen clipart or picture" and it came up with a page that I scrolled through. I then downloaded and sized and printed according to my wishes :)

Denise, you may have found it by now but I think I got the binder side from the website that Shannon linked to.

Joyce, good idea for the badges. One a month sounds good. I haven't had a chance to look over the new ones yet. Checking my email is next on my list after catching up here! ;)

Yeah, so I just checked out the new badges and I'm so down for the cocoa badge! You girls have no idea about the AMAZING chocolate that we have in Fort Wayne, of all places! There is a chocolate store here called DeBrand, and they are unbelievable. I have never had better chocolate from anywhere than from this place. You should check out their website: https://www.debrand.com/

What an awesome excuse for a visit! :)

How is everyone getting along with their cocoa badge, beginner? I couldn't find the book they suggested in our library, and the cost was quite high to buy a new one. So, I got an e-book for my Kobo about the history of chocolate that I'm reading.
