I would love to see our wonderful group work towards badges together again. I'm going to keep it simple - just one badge a month. I'm sure many of you will be working towards badges on your own as well.
I was so delighted and inspired to read about the new badges, I thought it would be fun to focus on one of those for January: Farmgirl Kitchen: Carpe Cocoa. I would like to encourage you to complete the beginner badge, and if you have time and feel capable of it, try for the Intermediate and Advanced badges as well.
I also think it would be really fun and encouraging to have everyone share what they are working towards for January - not just the group one, but anything you are working on. It's always inspiring to hear what others are working on in terms of badges! I hope there will be lots of chatting in this thread throughout January!

Joyce - this sounds like a great plan! I've actually spent some time this afternoon applying for some that I've completed over the last year... and still have more I need to apply for tomorrow or at least later this week.
I will definitely be working on the beginner badge for Carpe Cocoa and may try to do the Intermediate if time permits. I'm not sur what else this month will hold for me... |

Joyce, I love this! I have so missed working on badges for the past several months! I am so ready to get going again! Count me in! I haven't had a chance to read the new badges over in detail yet...but if it involves chocolate, I am all over it! I also have a bunch of badges that I have finished, just not applied for. That will be part of my goal for January. |

Yay!! This sounds great! I will look that badge up soon and start working on it.
As for what I'm personally doing in Jan, well I'm going to get out my badge book that has been ignored the last couple of years. Print all of the updates, apply for badges I've completed but never applied for and look at what to do next so I'll let y'all know. I'm excited to be working on them as a group again!! I'm looking forward to being more active here and in the regular forums. I'm also subscribing to topics so I remember to check in!!! |

Okay, Joyce count me in, maybe doing it as a group will help me. As I explained on Shannon’s post, I am going on 6 years with MJF and I have two badges! Now how sad is that? I just can not find the time to be honest. Maybe doing it with all of you will help me. So, I will check this the new ones out in our Sisterhood news letter, I have only just started reading mine. Right now I am reading about Debbie being our Farmgirl of the year. Thank you Joyce. |

Another challenge for me is actually creating the badges and putting them on something once I’ve earned them! |

You are right Sabina, my two badges are not on anything either as I do not know what to put them on :-) But, you did give me an idea to have a book of the different badges and print out what I need, so thank you. |

Debbie - I think as a group we did the binder a few years ago... In mine, I have the checklist printed and then a tabbed divider for each of the main categories, with the printed paper that go with them. Does that make sense? I an send pictures if that would help... |

I really shouldn't read through the badge requirements before I go to bed. Then I lay awake and my brain won't stop working.... |

I love how many people are on board!! This is very exciting :) :) I think everyone should make it a goal to update their binders this month, and complete the chocolate badge. Here's for encouraging us all!! :D |

I will join in as I can! Does anyone know how Erin got the long side thing printed? The one that says just MaryJane's Farm? Would love to do this. I need to find a large binder and separators. I wasn't here back when that was posted I guess because I seemed to have missed it. Right now I have separate little folders but the binder would be so much better. |

New year, new me!! I want to start working on badges again and do more on MJ. So I'll head over to the badges and print out the new ones. I'm in on working on badges together. |

So glad to see you, RoDonna! I agree that it will be fun working on badges together! Shannon, I should have my mom help me with my binder...she is a scrapbooking expert..me, not so much.. Joyce, I have decided for January that besides updating my binder a little bit, I will work on the new chocolate badge and I will be reading 2 books for the new bibliophile badge. If I have any time left over, I want to finish up my embroidery badge and a couple of potholders that I didn't get done last year. |

What badge are the pot holders for, Debbie? I love your list of goals. You will be well on your way to being a sharpshooter! |

Considering I just read a book he last two days, maybe I should look into the Bibliophile badge as well.
With Katie being 14 now, she is starting to go through the badges as well... and the others want to look at the young cultivators. I'm thinking I may try to chose a badge to work on that we can all do together... |

Joyce, they are to finish off the expert level of Sew Wonderful. We did the bakeover takeover part already. I have the embroidery done, I just have to make them into hot pads. |
