Ya'll Thanks for all the Quilt info! Thank you! I just adore it!! Shannon, I just saw you ask for pattern . I will email that to you. Im so sorry.

Denise , it is full size. Good to hear washing is okay! Im a little nervous with it!

Carole, I love your quilts! I have one on a rocking chair. No direct sunlight! Only 1 window in the room, no direct sunlight comes in that window. It's on the North side of our house.

Yesterday I got my wool on wool kit. Today I hope to trace the pattern, cut out the wool, and pin to be ready to start appliqueing tomorrow. It's a simple pattern of three pumpkins on each end of table mat.

So I finally finished the baby's quilt. We had the baby shower Saturday and she was very happy with it. Thought I'd share a photo.

Thanks Connie. We have been doing so much traveling the last couple months. I am ready to be at home. One more trip in September. A quick weekend to visit some family and my parents graves before winter.

Beautiful Denise!!You have been busy getting these two quilts completed, as it takes more time than one thinks it will at the onset. Yesterday, i pulled out the basket making box and created a basket with apple overtones for the upcoming Apple Giveaway Is sponsor every year at the main forum. So, I won't share a photo in case any of our HenHouse Farmgirls sign up and actually win it. It has been ridiculously hot here everyday with no change in weather on the horizon. This weekend, I did pull out a few fall decorations to see if they were still in good enough shape for another year. Most of them are OK. I sort of cleaned out some stuff in the big box and made a note of a few items I might try and find, if I can discover a good price on them.

I also have been reading a most interesting book titled, The Way America Was, by Eric Sloane. Back in the 1980s he wrote and illustrated several books about American history and culture. In them you can find his drawings of standard farm implements, household equipment, and catalogues of how life was organized and lived. This new book is about American life that was set up when the first British immigrants came and established Jamestown and Plymouth Colony. It is fascinating to read and it gives one much to think about when compared to our huge urban areas and lifestyle. Lately, I have been accumulating more books than I can read so my reading list is quite long at the moment but I am enjoying a lot of learning along the way!!

I have an idea for a garland for my Yellow Rose Cottage. Use the two sizes of jar lids & rings; empty lid boxes; and wool triangles. Now to save the used lids & boxes; make the triangles; and find a place to hang it.

Well while you all have been being creative...I was being a farmer, I guess. We had a window to put back into its frame. My husband did it. All I had to do was wash and dry the big piece of glass. Next I picked up dog food cans that Bear carries off and litters all three acres...so I walked a lot. Then I got my trusty PVC cutters and cut up some screen doors I had made for a porch several years ago. Next it was time to water horses and clean up the barn. I sent my son a picture of his big black baby bucking bull calf named Dog...who was quite comfortable lying on a round dog bed chewing his cud. My son had left the barn apartment door open and that black rascal just wanted to get out of the wind, I guess. Then I went to the arena to get some next box hay for my four older hens. There on the ground was what I thought was a perfect amount...was I ever wrong. It was heavy because it was the center of a big round bale. Somehow I got it into the hatchback of my suv and off we went. Rest and lunch time for me came next. Then out side to feed some scratch. It was too early to gather eggs, because they were still sitting on the nests. So I went next door, buried a dead rooster, cut loose three next boxes, dumped the old hay, put fresh hay in them, moved them and zip tied them in place. Then I tore out a roost they had broken, moved another one out and zip tied another small one to the panels. Now they have two good roosts instead of five broken ones. When I pulled my wagon into their pen and dumped that roll of hay...they were not even scared. They gathered and watched me roll it out. Meanwhile I called my husband to bring hammer and nails to put a big roost in the pullet pen. He obliged and even helped move the broken roosts out of that large pen. Those pullets are scaredy cats. They certainly are not used to seeing him in their pen! But we got everything done and eleven pretty green, pink and brown eggs to boot. I was exhausted and dirty. A shower was needed. Then I asked if he would drive us to town to get some drive thru supper. I guess He could tell I was tired and quickly said yes. Thank goodness. Now all I need to do is add two small tarps to block some North and South wind on those two pens. I chose to work outside yesterday, today and tomorrow because it will get cold again Sunday and stay cold for at least a week. That is when my sewing machine can hum.

Yep! I was tired, but it had to be done. I paid for it with PAIN. Sleep was elusive until two am. Then I slept good for five hours. That means I will need a nap after lunch.
