Wow that was wonderful to read about the pillow and bump.
So special! He sure was a beautiful kitty.

Have a very special day!

Winnie - I am so sorry for your loss. What a lovely story about the cover and Mr. Bump Kitty! Thank you for sharing.

Linda - Wow! Congratulations! Looking forward to seeing pictures.

Not much going on here. Just attempting to bring order to my life. My sewing studio has become a dumping station. Time to clean/pick things up and start having order in there. A messy creative area only lead to a messy mind for me ... off to tidy!

Catch you all later!

Hello everyone,

How is everyone doing with their Christmas preparations? I so do not feel in the Christmas spirit even with Christmas music playing ... and yet this is my favourite holiday! Way too much going on in my life at the moment.

Pumpkin is coming home today. I'm looking forward to seeing her. She'll be here for close to a month. She was advised to drive safely. As I mentioned in a prior post, freezing rain this morning and more on its way this evening.

Any special plans for the holiday? Pumpkin and I will be headed to Montreal to celebrate with the family. Our tradition is Christmas Eve.

Catch you all later!

OK - here's pictures:
Ed proposed on Saturday morning at my house, and then we went to Zale's and picked out the ring.

At Zale's he got down on one knee, proposed, and put the ring on my finger, while a friend of his who worked there (and sold us the ring) took pictures. Here are the pictures:

Oh I meant to say the front room/library is done. Got the bookshelves we ordered and collecting up all the books from ever corner and filling the shelves.

Also busy getting ready for Christmas and the Eve. We will have just the 3 of us Christmas eve and then dd#1 and her family will be here Christmas morning and then on the 27th we will have both daughters and their families as well as ds to do our Christmas with all of them. Dd#2 is traveling the day after from Ohio. Can't wait to see the littlest one at Christmas time. They are so fun when they are big enough to know what's going on.

Linda, your ring is beautiful and I love those photos!!! So much happiness!! Congratulations and Best Wishes to you both!

Carole, enjoy your travels and I hope this year the holidays can bring you peace and solutions to the pressures you are under.

Denise, your holidays sound like great fun with multiple celebrations with your family! We always forget that Christmas celebration tradition is 12 days of and not just one. One the first day of Christmas my true love gave to me.......A partridge in a pear tree!

I agree Winnie! I love the celebration with family. I am very happy to be able to have all the grandchildren here together regardless of which day!

Linda,
I forgot to say how beautiful your ring is!! I can't tell from the picture but I wondered if the center stone is what they called a chocolate diamond?

No, the center stone is an emerald cut diamond. The shadows sometimes cause it to look chocolate. I like chocolate, but we went with traditional.

This last week of 2017 I hope to clean my house room by room. All the things I have left un-done during the year. By Jan 1, 2018 I hope to greet the New Year with a clean and organized house ready for me to write, plan my gardens, and piddle.

I'm with you there Sara. That is always my goal. This coming year I hope to do a major purge. I tend to organize but that is about it. Need to stop organizing the unnecessary.

Denise I love what you said "Need to stop organizing the unnecessary". That would make a great slogan for 2018.

Ditto, Sara and Denise!!! LOL!!!!! I love this new slogan and it is something I am going to incorporate in my plans to purge and get down to just the basics.

Hehehe, Sara, I love that idea of clearing up the unnecessary to just be able to do those things that are important and bring happiness and peace in our lives. I am especially happy to see writing on your list of priorities!! Your murder mysteries are a lot of fun to read!!

Thank you Winnie for the sweet words about my little stories. I have started a new one but won't finish until first week of the New Year. (busy cleaning house)

For you who may have missed by posts about sharing my cozy mysteries I am offering this invitation to you. Let me know by PM and I will put you on the mail out list. I e-mail my stories chapter by chapter as I write them as an attachment. They are simple little mysteries but I have gotten great reviews. Thanks to all my readers who overlook typos and an odd word here and there! I do edit but only once. lol

Ed and I were married on Christmas Eve morning at a friend's house after church. Ed's younger son, Zach, officiated. A few family and friends were there. Zach wrote a beautiful ceremony.
With the officiant, Ed's younger son, Zach

With Ed's sons

With Ed's older son, Shayne, his wife and daughter

With my son, Dean

With our guests (l) and hosts (r)
