Carole,
So glad to hear your sermon was well received! Great when people come to talk then you know they were paying attention.

Prayers for Shannon.

Prayers for Shannon and her family.
Linda, the tree is perfect for Texas. That's my favorite state after Minnesota.
Carole. We'll miss you as leader but I hope you'll still stay with us. Has anyone volunteered to lead yet. I could if everyone thinks it's ok.

Today we walked as far as we could with our sweet dear kitty on the Rainbow Bridge. It was so hard to let him go and I miss him terribly! We were very lucky to have had such a fun and endearing fur friend for 14 years.

Rest is peace my sweet Mr. Bump!

Thank-you all so much for your caring and heart felt comments. Today has been a mixed day of adjusting and then missing him so much. I know it will take time because Bump was such a part of our daily lives that his absence is like a big black void. He was the best kitty I have ever had!

Living in the country kitties have a way of finding kind people who will feed them and their off spring. We have had lots of kitties. Some are so special. My first Bob tailed kitty was grey and very smart. He would wake me every morning, sitting on my chest, patting my face...because the alarm was about to go off. He was hungry and he would nip my heels when I was too slow opening his little can of food. I loved him so much, but he became ill. I took him to the vet. After taking exrays, etc. the kind hearted young man, on the opposite side of the table from me, with my fur baby on that table, cried as he told me he could not save my kitty. He became our family vet. We all loved his care of our pets, as well as horses.

Oh Marilyn what a wonderful vet you have. That made me cry, such a good person, and such a sweet kitty.

Well, farm girl sisters, yesterday was a great day for me. Ed gave me my Christmas present early. He proposed and we went to Zale's and he bought me the most beautiful ring. When he proposed in the morning, it was just a surprise "Will you marry me?" In the Zale's store, he got down on one knee, again asked me to marry him, and put the ring on my finger. A friend of his from church who worked in the store not only recommended rings that we looked at (and bought one of), he took our picture when he proposed. I will post them later, when we get home from the Christmas program at church.

I am on Cloud 9 right now. We are not sure if we will get married before the end of the year (yes - 14 more days) or next year.

Linda, I want to share with you a gift that you sent me about 3 years ago in a Christmas related swap. It is actually a cover for a kitchen appliance like a toaster etc. made out of Christmas fabric and into a Kitty theme. The day I unwrapped your gift, I placed the cover on a chair on our porch while I unwrapped the rest. Bump kitty spied that cover on his favorite chair and immediately jumped on it and went to sleep. So...... the cover never went inside on any appliance and instead stayed on "Bump's Chair" for the past three years. He has slept there hundreds of times each week as it was his all time favorite spot on the porch. He loved being outdoors and watching the birds and squirrels at the feeder from his favorite chair. The cover has faded and has been washed over the years too. However, it has now been stuffed and made into a Bump pillow for his favorite spot and he can now continue to "join" us when we are out there, which is all the time.

Linda, at the time you sent this darling cover, neither of us knew that it would become, three years later, a treasured memento of my beloved sweet kitty. Thank-you again for this precious gift you made!! Farmgirl gifts have long lasting love attached to them!!
