Not on the cruise ship - it is too large. We plan to take an excursion through it (at least partway through it).

Spring Break is over...Boo Hoo! It was so nice to sleep until seven or even 7:30. It was nice to putter about, sorting things. Reality sets in tomorrow at 5:30 am. I am excited to see the children, and hopeful that the teacher is in a good mood.

Linda, both of your trips sound like great. Have fun planning for them.

Marilyn, I hope for your first day back to school all the children are eager to learn and the teacher is too.

I'm been signing up for all of MaryJane's lemon giveaways. The pillow covers would look especially nice on my white wicker rockers between my yellow shutters. A FarmGirl can only dream. Says the pillow covers are made out of kitchen towels. If all else fails I will look for the towels or maybe lemon fabric at the quilt shop.

Sara -

The pillow covers made out of kitchen towels are usually easy - just fold the towel in half, seam 2 sides, slip the pillow form in, and stitch shut. If you find some towels, send them to me, tell me what size the pillow forms are, and I can stitch the covers.

You could also make them out of a vintage table cloth.

Linda, thanks for you sweet offer. Vintage tablecloths - might have to make the local thrift shops but Paris doesn't have the greatest. I have wondered if antique dealers get first pickings. I know that happens too often at estate sales.

I'm sure they do!

Next time I go to First Monday in Canton I will be going to the area of the large blue building with LOTS of sold linens. If you haven't found something by then, I will look.

You can also check on E-bay for vintage linen! I haven't been on there for a long time, but occasionally you can find a deal or two! Also, Goodwill has an "auction" site where you can buy things like E-Bay if you haven't looked there. The only thing I have found with Goodwill, is their shipping can be quite expensive. Good luck on your hunt, have fun too :)
Hope you are feeling better Sara

Hola, everyone from Torremolinos, Spain here in the south along the beautiful Mediterranean. Wow, what a whirlwind this first week has been!! We have been exploring ancient Roman ruins, beautiful old cathedrals from the Middle Ages, ruins from the rein of the Moors from 711- 1492, amazing cathedrals and such a beautiful country. Spain is really pretty and very well kept by everyone. Big cities are clean and tidy despite their size. We also got to go on a day trip yesterday to Tangiers, Morocco. Incredible!!! Spain has a lot of Arabic influence from the Moor reign. Some of the old Mosques are stunning in their tile works.

Today we all got to break into small groups and have lunch with a Spanish family . It was such a delicious home cooked meal and our hostess was so friendly and gracious. It was also a wonderful opportunity to see and talk with people who are long time
Families from the area that we are in.

It has been a very busy tour but we are enjoying every day . Tomorrow we are off to Seville and then Lisbon Portugal for the last few days. Hope everyone here is doing well!! Talk more later, if time and WiFi allows!!

Wow, Winnie...That sounds amazing. Our neighbor's daughter and her new hubby honeymooned for three weeks in Spain about 15 years ago. They did country, more than cities and loved it.

Good morning,

It has been a busy week for me. Pumpkin came home for spring break and I wanted to spend as much time as possible with her. She is such a blessing in my life! She has since returned to university and the house is quiet again!

Thank you for your kind comments on our winter storm pictures. We've had a few days of very warm weather .... the snow has slowly been melting away!

Sara, I do hope you are back to your usual self. I know for me the time change is not kind to my body. I so wish they would do away with it. It takes me a couple of weeks to get back into my natural circadian rhythm.

Linda, your cruise and Disney vacation sounds wonderful. Have you ever done river cruises? One of my customers just loves them. Because the boats are much smaller, they are able to navigate in small spaces taking you on a different type of scenic tour.

Winnie, so sweet of you to check in. Sounds like you are having an amazing vacation. Take lots of pictures to share with us.

Catch you later! Cheers!

We want to do a river cruise in the near future. It is definitely on our bucket list. This Panama Canal cruise came up and wee jumped on it. We had been finding trips/cruises and not acting and losing out on them. We supposedly got one of the last 3 rooms on this cruise - at least in our price range and not an executive suite. LOL!

Just curious - Pumpkin is a cute nickname, but what is her given name?

Afternoon everyone,

Hope all is well with each one of you. What have you been all up too?

I've been busy preparing for a new project, cutting up scraps! I admire our formothers' patience with working with scrap fabrics. It does take a lot more time to work with scraps than it does just cutting up yardage. Of course, my scraps are not organized by size, just by fabric styles, 1930, 19th Century repro and funky! lol

Darlene, I do hope you are feeling much better.

Linda, Pumpkin does have a real name but I do not like to use it on the internet. I guess it's more of a privacy issue. Besides, I made it up and I'm annoyed that people are calling their girls by the same name I made up. I mean, it is beautiful if I do say so myself. I couldn't believe it when she was teaching figure skating and had a little girl in her group by the same name! I'm like What the heck, I made it up!!!! Of course the spelling varies but not the pronunciation. Thanks for asking!

Well I best be getting off this computer. I have a busy day tomorrow. Heading off to Montreal for a business seminar! Looking forward to it. I'll be driving to the Longueuil Metro (subway on the south shore), parking my car and using the BMW to get into the city. In Montreal, when we say I'm using/driving my BMW, we actually mean Bus, Metro, Walk! lol

Catch you later! Cheers!
