Marilyn -

What is the name of the product your husband used. The friend we are staying with in Gilbert, AZ, told me about a product she gets that when you put it on skin cancer spots they go away. Just like what you said about your husband's ear. Tomorrow she will tell me what the product is. Many years ago I had Mohs surgery to remove a skin cancer on my nose. I really don't want to have to go through that again. Maybe they are the same thing?

That is interesting, it is probably one of those products the doctors don't want anyone to know about.

Today my friend took us to Butterfly Wonderland in Scottsdale, AZ. I had been to such a place before, but Ed had not. We both took lots of pictures. It is so neat being able to be with the butterflies, having them land on your arm or head is so neat. Then we went to the Musical Instrument Museum - WOW! They have over 12,000 musical instruments in their collection from 200 countries and they display around 6,500 instruments at any given time. They periodically change out displays. Here is a little blurb about the museum from their website -
MIM displays more than 6,500 instruments collected from around 200 of the world’s countries and territories. Most displays are enhanced by state-of-the-art audio and video technologies that allow guests to see the instruments, hear their sounds, and observe them being played in their original contexts—performances that are often as spectacular as the instruments themselves. What’s more, all guests are invited to play instruments from around the world in the Experience Gallery. They can also see instruments from music icons such as John Lennon, Taylor Swift, Elvis Presley, Carlos Santana, and many more in the Artist Gallery.

We had a great day!

We ordered from The Original Cream Company, just Google it. The tiny jar is called Indian Mudd Salve. It does work. I think it was just under $50 plus pstg of course.

I really like the new quilt shop. Dee bought the old shop and moved it to another location and renamed it. It's smaller so I really like that. I can see everything without fatiguing. I bought a yard of fabric, two buttons with chickens, and a jelly thimble. I have a touch of arthritis in my thimble finger joint so my thimble no longer fits.

On Feb 20 it's a all day of needle applique. Not a class. Women meet and work on their own things. Most meet at 10a.m. Dee said I could learn a lot from the women. They meet the third Monday of each month. There was a whole list of quilting classes, hand and machine embroidery classes, and work days on the large blackboard. I may join in on the hand embroidery class. All classes/work days are free of charge.

Sherry, I am so sorry to read about the loss of your dad. I know how hard it can be when we loose a loved one. Life changes in various ways, making more demands on our time. It's good that you are making sure that you take care of yourself. Please know that I am here for you. Sending you cyber hugs! (((Sherry)))

Sara, how wonderful that you like the "old Shop". Always fun to visit a quilt shop! I think you will enjoy stitching with like minded woman!

I am pretty sure there was a different name there when I had to cast my vote...I was confused and thought I had to go to Bulletin Board...then I noticed a new name. Then I went back and discovered I had to send Carole an email, with my vote.

I just clicked on the various groups/henhouses and the name is always the same on the bottom... so it may not actually be a member of this specific HenHouse, but rather to the HenHouses overall.

Marilyn - That's what I am thinking, too. That name(s) is the newest member to ANY hen house, not to only ours.

Sara - That's great that you like the new shop. Dee was always very helpful at the old shop; I am glad she is the one who bought the shop and opened the new one. Free classes are always great.

Has anyone heard who our hen house FGTY is? When is the voting over?

Winnie and Darlene, I am looking forward to meeting women who share my same interests. My sisters like to see what I am doing but neither are embroidering or crafting at this time.

Linda, I met Dee at the old shop and I liked her right off. Don't know if you met Francis but she came with Dee. There were kits to make stuffed - not sure what they are - must be cartoon characters. Had four made up. She may have a few crafty type things from time to time.

I am impressed that the classes are free. Smart lady...when people come to a free class, more than likely they will make a purchase.

Marilyn, I hope the shop does good because it is near me and classes/work days are in the mornings as well as evening. I'm a morning person.

Sara, I looked to see what is going on at our quilt shop...not much. They have a group that meets one Saturday morning each month to show and share. Once a week a few get together to applique or knit or what ever. No classes.
