Carole, I have been doing French seams on my pillow cases. After watching your video...I will try the hotdog to encase all of those raw edges, then the French seam. Thanks. |

I use the hot dog pillowcase method and love it. Then with French seams, there are no raw edges. Easy and love the method. |

I love www.fatcatpatterns.com. This is a quilting website. Sindy has several BOMs and if you download each month, they are free, otherwise you have to pay for them. Right now it is fishing lures. She also has a LOT of free patterns. All of hers are applique (she uses ElectricQuilt) software to make them. She has a lot of cute patterns - dinosaurs, sewing machine, teddy bears, angels, dolls, etc. You have to sign up to download the free patterns, but it is a good website. She lives in Garland, Texas, close to where I used to live. Still not far from me.

That is a cool website for freebie patterns, I love it! I ordered some of the freebie patterns and subscribed to the site. Thanks Carole!

Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for what he has done. Philippians 4:6
Just follow God unquestioningly. Because you love Him so, for if you trust His judgment there is nothing you need to know.

Bonnie, Buttermilk Basin usually has a free block of the month going. I know she did last year. I love her patterns. I've stitched quite a few of her designs.
I love wool applique too! So addictive! That reminds me, I have a couple of wool applique quilts that I "should" pick up and make an attempt to finish them! |

I love those embroidery designs, Carole. Thanks for sharing.
I have two small wool embroidery projects that I need to get out and work on. One is from a designer who lives in a nearby town does some really cute projects and has a monthly project club. Another lady did a presentation at my quilt guild and I bought one of her kits. I've never done a wool embroidery project before. I'm looking forward to it.

Carole, Thanks for sharing! I looked it up and saved them all in my favorites for later!! I learned to do French Seams in Home-Ec Class in Jr. high School! They do make a seam look polished for sure!!
