We planted three pinto bean seeds in cups of potting soil, at preschool. They were 6-8" tall Wednesday, so I sent them home with the kids. I never grow tired of watching little ones as they see the first signs of life appear above the soil. I drew pictures and added words to make a little book about how a seed grows into a plant. They took those home, and hopefully shared with their families.

I love hearing about all of the gardening plans of SPG!! Every year it is fun to dig in the dirt and see what can grow. I look forward to hearing about garden efforts in their full glory come July and August!

Morning Everyone, Hope everyone is planning a great weekend. We have the Hwy 80 garage sale going on this weekend and plan on running up and down 80 for a while tomorrow. No telling what treasures we will find. Its always fun, it's like one very long garage sale.
Have a great weekend everyone.

Maybe we will see you, Sherry. Ed and I also plan to go up and down 80 for a while. We've never been. Do you have any hints on the best places to shop? LOL!

We are going to the Terrell Festival first. I hope the 70% chance of heavy rain stays away for a while.

Oh Sherry, have fun shopping. I wish I was squeezed in your car going with you but that wouldn't be good because I would take up space to put stuff. Have fun for me.

Marilyn, it sounds like your little ones are going to have a good times gardening when they get bigger. Have a good day!

Well Linda, I just saw your post. I have been pulling turnips and onions, so my spaces can be replanted.

Also a grocery run, and working on a scrap book or photo album for my four year olds. It will be a gift I give them at the end of the year. Massive project!

Also working on my cuff bracelet for your swap. We only have three signed up at this point and time is short.

I hope you are enjoying this windy day. No rain yet.

We have been up to 80 this week but mostly the 70s. Things are beginning to pop here. We have plastic panels we put on the porch and took off a couple this week. Hope spring weather holds so I can plant in May.

Amy and I had an all day outing. We hit some antique places and had a grand time. Brought her back here to get some eggs. They were fresh out of the nests. The girls were free ranging until they saw us and then they were running towards us for some treats. Good thing I had something, not sure what they'd do if I didn't. We found lots of treasures and had a great visit.

Oh yes, we really did, I only wish it hadn't flown by so quickly! I loved seeing Denise's sweet Farmgirl home and meeting her handsome hubby and fine young grandson. Oh, and her chickens were so pretty, I couldn't get enough of them! I'm already looking forward to our next Farmgirl day out, maybe over here on little Delaware!

Happy Day!

Amy and Denise how wonderful you two got together for the day, there is nothing like getting to meet up with a farmgirl and especially one that is in our hen house. What fun you two must have had.
I did not get to meet up with Linda and Ed, but my hubby and sister-in-law did have a great day. It was very windy but the rain held off and we did get lots of shopping in just not lots of buying. I picked up a few bird cages for our booth at the Vintage Soul and some patterns and fabric. We had a great time. And Darlene we had plenty of room for you to come along and you would be more than welcome to come with us. Hope everyone else is having a great weekend.

Hello everyone,

Always a pleasure to catch up.

Denise & Amy, how wonderful that you spent the day together again. Wow! Lucky you!

Sherry, glad you had a good time. Linda, how was your antiquing? Did you find more treasures? I enjoy looking at stuff.

Darlene, did you plant your tomatoes? If you like tomatoes, you might try the small cherry tomatoes, they are sweet and delicious. I eat them right off the plant (we do not use any pesticide etc) like candy! lol

Gorgeous day today. I did go into work for a few hours until I realized that I was wasting a gorgeous day. Came back and worked on the yard, getting my flower beds ready. I planted my sunflowers. We also moved the "girls" to their summer home - a mobile home. We are not allowed to let them roam around our yard, so they are cooped up until we moved them into their summer home. It has a caged area so that they can enjoy the outdoors. We move it around the yard so that they get fresh grass and bugs!

Last week I went to our local feed store to purchase some clover seeds. The girls love clover and I thought I would use that as ground cover for my flower beds. I cannot keep up with the weeds, so I might as well plant something that is useful! Thank goodness I didn't have to buy a 50 pound bag! lol You get a lot of clover seeds for a pound! lol I have read that white clover is good for the bees.

Catch you later! Cheers!

Busy day, Carole! I'm sure your girls will appreciate the clover. We ran errands all day, then Lily closed and locked the door to the upstairs in my house. Luckily she wasn't up there, but my cats were, and the little blind cat was pretty freaked out. I ended up having to take the doorknob off, but all is quiet now and back to normal!

Happy Day!

Hello everyone,

Lot's going on at the Prevost-Meier household. This weekend is "let's renovate the main bathroom weekend" - I miss my bathroom already!

Don't you just love the three wall papers? lol Always surprises when you renovate a home that is over 150 years old.

My brother and father are coming down to help with the plumbing. Everything is coming down and getting re-done. We had a major leak from the tub faucet which caused the tiles to lift, which in turn leads to renovations!

So, what's new with you? Happy Earth day! Peace & Blessings!
