Sitting by fire this afternoon. Kind of chilly here. Just got back from lunch and shopping with my daughter. Made it to Dad's appointment this morning. Was a little iffy as everyone else was canceling due to the snow. But we went and had his check up and they did his annual blood work. Snow has pretty much melted but I think the temperature has dropped a bit. Going to do some stitching while waiting for dinner to get done. What is everyone else up to?

We were snowed in this morning, so I took advantage and caught up on much needed note writing :)! Now I need to go to my sewing room and make new valances for that room. Have everything I need, so need to get with it!
Hope you all are well and staying warm!

I cleared my table so now I have more room to work and a friend of mine is going to start coming over and learn some crafts with me, That will be fun.

It is cool here today but nice.

Have a nice afternoon and evening.

Darlene -

What are you going to learn or teach her? Sounds like fun. I love doing things with friends - more than working on them alone.

Well when she finally came over I showed her what things I have done including the Valentine swap and ATC, and drawings I have done in Zentangling and other ideas and coloring pages, I also showed her my little tree that I have hung my Valentine stuff that I have been sent from Farm sisters and other stuff, she was excited to do it so we will get together next Tues and I think we might start with the coloring book page and maybe work on an ATC of some sort. It will be fun and I got my table cleared while waiting for her to come over.:D That was a plus for me.

I now have more room to work! YAY!

Haha! I clear off my table all the time (I sew in my dining room), but it doesn't take long for it to get full again. Doesn't stay empty very long.

I hope maybe it will stay for a week at least. It feels good anyway and then I can tackle another area!

Denise, that is the cutest Valentine picture with the Bunny. Isn't that from Holly Hock Farm? They put out some darling books in the late 1990s and early 2000s.

Darlene, it sounds like fun to have a buddy to do crafts with!

We are enjoying some chilly winter like weather down here this week and I love being able to wear my sweaters and wool socks!! We have good friends coming tomorrow from Baltimore for an overnight on their journey to Miami. It will be great to see them again. Then next week, my brother and family will be in Disney with the grandchildren so we are hoping to go down for a day visit with them all.

I found that on Facebook Winnie. I have two of the Holly Hock books. I find them in thrift stores.

JT decided we would go away for our anniversary this year. It's not till May but I have been watching some specials on Groupon and found a great one. So we will be able to go with my bil and son here to stay with dad.

Hello everyone,

Brrrrrr!

And it's only going to get colder!

This morning I went out to take care of my wild bird (water and food) and it was pleasant to hear the snow go "crunch, crunch, crunch". It's not the gold that bothers me but the wind. When it's windy, the chill factor goes way up and Brrrrrr! It will be a nice weekend to stay home, a fire going and get some quilting done.

Darlene, it is always nice to share our passion with others. I have a wonderful group of ladies that I quilt with. We meet approximately once a month at a fire station in Saranac. They all bring their machine and sew away. I tend to bring hand work. To much fuss to take my machine out of my cabinet!

Not much going on in my neck of the woods. Keeping busy and staying out of trouble.

Catch you later! Have a great day!

That is so cold! Brr, it makes me shiver now.
We are supposed to get rain tonight I think, who knows around here.
Quilting with someone is so much more fun!, I was in a group for awhile until I couldn't afford to go, It cost for the quilting class group and of course I just couldn't resist the material in the store there. I have a lot of material now.
I will get back to something one of these days after working on other crafts. :D

Have a great day and I hope your little birds don't freeze their little feet.

hugs

That sounds like winter weather, Carole. Since we are so warm we are already seeing dog ticks. Of course winter may still come, usually we have an Easter spell.

Oh my Carole! We too are supposed to be in the single digits tonight. It was a toasty 26 here today. Mostly working on chores today and keeping the fire going.
Dr. called this afternoon to set up an appointment for Wednesday to see dad again concerning his lab work. Praying it is nothing serious. [:/]

Snowing here now. Didn't expect it but there isn't much of it. Still hanging out by the fire in between loads of laundry.

The wind chill is really kicking it today. I had to go out for a few things and we couldn't believe how high the wind gusts are.
Making a big pot of soup tonight getting the insides warm.
