That sounds like a good plan Linda.

Definitly I will put you all in my prayers for help in figuring it all out.

You indeed have a challenge on your hands, Linda. My only suggestion is that someone must be with her the entire time to help monitor her choices. I doubt she would use the calculator correctly since she is having trouble connecting price with being responsible to what she has to use. Perhaps using a number like 5 items only would be helpful. Then you could supplement, without directly telling her , more items as other family members gifts to her. Since she has no ability to connect money value, it seems like it would be better to approach the situation like you would with say a five year old. The she would have the right and ability to pick a designated few favorites without having to frustrate and embarrass her about overage. The key is going to be supervision and limitations and limiting her shopping to a simple number she can count. I hope the next trip goes better for everyone!

Those are great suggestions Ladies, Thank you. This was the first time I have been alone with her in there. Usually her mom or
My husband will walk around with her. Next time I will stay near by her to help keep a running total. I had not thought of her as a five year old, Winnie, but in regards to money, blurting out when another is speaking, not wanting to share, etc.--- that is five year old behavior. Thanks for your wisdom.

Good catch, Winnie. I only suggested a calculator because she has been completing junior high school requirements. I didn't think that maybe she hasn't used a calculator.

Thanks for letting us know Ruth. Wouldn't it be a good idea to email Brian Ogle and let him know. You can go into Your page at the top where it says profile and you go in and change it in there. You can change other things in there as well.

I hope this helps a little bit.

Hope you are doing well and keeping busy.

Have an awesome Sunday Ruth.

Thanks Darlene :)! I have changed it! Do you think I still need to let Brian know?
I have been extremely busy lately, which is a good thing! Spending lots of time with our girls and their families. Our youngest granddaughter and her little ones flew to Atlanta tonight (from Anchorage, AK), so looking forward to seeing them. Have a new great grandson that I can't wait to give hugs to, as well as my granddaughter and great granddaughter. Love our family!
Thanks for your help!
Hugs, Ruth

It probably wouldn't hurt to tell Brian so they have your updated email in their system too or at know that you changed it.

It sounds that you are going to have a wonderful visit, I know you will enjoy them. Hope your weather is doing well.
They live a long way from you.
Have an awesome visit.

Hi everyone. It's great to catch up on what everyone's doing. We've all been very sick with a terrible chest cold. Awful cough and fatigue, low grade fever, etc. My mom seemed to not get quite as sick, fortunately. I did get my Valentine's decorations up yesterday. Bonnie starts her final semester of grad school today, so I'll have Lily 5 days a week from 6:00 A.M. to around 8:00 P.M. Long days! So if you don't hear from me, you know what I'm doing! :)

Happy Day!

Amy I hope you are feeling better because you are going to need a lot of energy for Lily. When the girls were little I napped with them, because I also had very long days. We all had a lot more fun when we were rested. I am glad your mother did not get as sick.Take care and God bless you.

Marilyn,
I think the ideas the gals gave on your shopping experience are good ones.
Whatever would simplify things for her and you!

Ruth,
I hope you have a fantastic time with your little ones while they visit. I'm sure you will!

Amy, hope you all get to feeling better quick. Glad your mom didn't get such a bad case because as you know at her age it can be rough even when it isn't bad.
Praying you feel better quick.

I have been busy it seems but I don't feel like I am getting much done. Does that happen to anyone else?
Some days I feel like I am going in 5 different directions.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Everyone sounds busy these days with this and that. Winter always seems to be full of projects too. I like Winter and enjoy the cold weather spots we get and a chance to not be hot and humid.

Amy, I sure hope the chest colds are on the mend. That can make someone wiped out for a couple of weeks with the lingering coughs. Stay warm!

Everyone enjoy your family visits too. Nothing like special gatherings with those you love!

Ruth thank you for the Valentine's day card I received in the mail today. Enjoy your visit with your granddaughter and great granddaughter and the new baby. What fun, you seem to always enjoy your family, how special is that. Always doing fun things together.
Amy so sorry to hear you have been sick, but hope that you and your mother are feeling better. Thank you so much for the sweet Valentine's, what a cute idea.
Julie, glad to see Oliver is doing better, he is so cute.
Marilyn hang in there, your granddaughter sounds so sweet, but just needs some guidance with her shopping. We all get a little overwhelmed some times in Hobby Lobby or Michael's. Maybe we all need the 5 item limit. I do.

I just stopped by a minute and it is so good to get caught up with everyone. Denise I know what you mean about going in all directions. I finally have a moment to say hi.

Take care everyone enjoy your week.

Farmgirl Hugs & May all your Wishes come true.

Sherry, I love getting mail from you, but I have a question...do you have to pay for all of the paper, envelopes, printer ink, and stamps yourself, when you are mailing out the member info???

I just popped on for a couple of minutes! Our new e-mail address: davidruthy@etcmail.com. I did change it in my profile also :)!
Hope you all are doing well and keeping warm. It snowed all day here today and is still snowing. 24 degrees at the moment - so ice will be an issue in the morning! I baked a good bit today, and hubby was in the basement working on new bee hives for Spring :)! Can hardly wait!!

I will answer your question for Sherry, Marilyn. Yes She does pay for all of that herself. She is a truely dedicated hen house sister to keep us all up to date on everyone.
