Yesterday was a beautiful end to January, and this first day of Febuary is beautiful, but a bit windy. Our preschoolers were so good today. God is good.

Today was a wonderful way to start the month, as far as school and tracking my diet. I couldn't have asked for a more smooth day in homeschool!

I felt like I got some Spring cleaning accomplished today! Though it isn't Spring yet and won't be for a while, I managed to get some big jobs done. So glad they are behind me. Now to move on to other parts of the house. The weather was a bit warmer today and we had rain later in the day but I figured since I woke up with that energy I would put it to good use! It was a great first day of February.

Where did January go? It was warm and in the 50's here on February 1st! I'm excited for Lily June's First Birthday this Month! Hard to believe it has been a year! She has been such a joy to my life this past year!!!!!
My Valentine gift came in the mail a few days ago! Instead of candy or flowers, I get a Vintage card for my collection! My Hubby really saves a lot of money! LOL!! this one cost only $11.00 I adore it!! I tried to get this one a few years ago and went waaay out of my price range on Ebay. I squealed out loud when I saw it last week, buy it now and free shipping!!!!!

Connie, that Valentine is so cute! What a perfect Valentine's Day gift for you.

Currently, it is about 79 degrees here and supposed to reach 81 or 82 later this afternoon. Then come the rain for a few days and Friday will be 58. Crazy roller coaster weather these days down here!! With this sudden warm up, my azaleas are really opening up in the yard and I just hope we don't get a freeze that kills them off. They are so pretty!

You all know how much I love Fall. Well, my little Southern Red Maple FINALLY has started to turn it's leaves. I was beginning to wonder if it would skip that step this year. The warm December really caught it off guard and so now we are in a Fall, Winter, Spring period for only a few weeks.

Confused tree, enjoy the colors anyway.

Our Daffodils are starting to bloom here. I have a tiny plant and it has two little blossoms on it.

Connie, you have such a cute collection of vintage cards! They so remind me of my maternal grandmother.

Winnie, I do like that tree! It follows it's own rhythm! lol

How are you all doing? Not much worth talking about going on in my life. Always a treat to stop by, grab a cuppa and catch-up!

How's the weather in your neck of the woods? Goodness we have a strange winter here in way Northeast! It hasn't actually been cold at all. I think we're breaking records! It was in the 40's yesterday. Today is a tad chili 27. I do wish we had more snow! I would just love a good snow storm. They all seem to be by passing us! It was the same thing last year. No snow storms but extremely cold weather.

Enjoy your day everyone! Cheers!

We have also had a nice winter. It is cold, but the sunshine telly helps. It is hard to keep everyone well because we climb to the 70's then crash back down. The northerly winds bring all matter of allergens as do those blowing cedar up from the Austin area. I wonder how on earth our forefathers endured and survived.

This is what I am doing right now. Babysitting Oliver and his sisters. It has been almost 3 months since mom and dad have had a night out so grandpa and I volunteered. This is my first time watching Oliver since he got his iliostomy bag so I am praying everything goes OK. Off to give lots of tickles, have a great evening everyone.

Oh Julie he is adorable! I bet you had a great time!

Carole, Have you seen or heard anything about a storm coming through on Tuesday? They are saying so for us. Thought it might reach you there. They pretty much have most of the northeast covered with it.

Denise, I haven't heard anything about a storm. Then again, I don't pay much attention to the weather until I decide to look outside! lol Oh I so hope we get a good snow storm - "Snow day" would be nice! It would allow me to get some projects finished! Crossing fingers! Off to work on a project!

Cheers

JT and I just came back from "date" night. Those are very rare for us. Enjoyed it immensely and the time to just talk and catch up.

Ladies, my heart is sad for my Hadlee. We went to Michaels this morning. We must drive about 40 miles to get there. She was excited and began looking and adding things to her basket. I went to find things I had come for, but noticed that she was already checking out. My husband was in the car, reading. Finally, after passing by twice I asked if she needed help.( I had cautioned her once and asked who was paying for her choices, earlier). The poor kid had picked up almost $70.00 worth of pretty stickers, paper, circuit supplies, etc. It adds up quickly in there. So, I offered to pay for some things, that would be her Valentine gift and some stickers for her sister's Valentine gift. Then she went through to decide what her $30.00 would cover. I had gone to get things I needed for my preschool class when I heard voices I recognized. She had called her Bapa in to help bail her out. We know this is related to her brain tumor, and as I was checking out myself I explained that to the two ladies helping me. On the way home I suggested that in the future, she could use the calculator on her phone to help keep track. Do any of you have any suggestions? She has a very twisted concept of the cost of things. Her mom sends her to shop and ends up returning the overages. I have about decided reasonableness doesnot mean a thing to her. Sadly it seems to be getting worse. I love her so much. She is sweet, funny, loving and caring, but the "monster" (as Cranio families refer to this tumor) has changed her brain, made her little hands and feet fat..it is sad. If you can think of a way I could help her on future shopping trips, I would appreciate it. My son says, "Tell her NO!" I can't be mean.

Maybe a calculator with the total she can spend and she can subtract each item she picks up until she reaches close ABOVE zero. Then she is done or she has to return something to get something else.
