Sherry, Tea parties are so much fun! We try to have at least one when Leslie comes home for a visit with her girls. Tori who is 10 in 11 days loves the "little" girls, so we always try to do one as a girls day when they come home. We go all out with finger sandwiches and cookies. Leslie puts mostly milk in the cups for the kids. I can remember having Cambric tea with my grandmother. It was milk and sugar with a little tea for color.
I'm enjoying Apple Cinnamon tea from Julie at the moment and munching a few pieces of green apple licorice she sent.

Morning Denise, yes the tea party's are fun. We have made mini muffins and baby chocolate chip cookies so far, but will have another today if she wants too. I have her all weekend so I'm sure there will be some tea.

Sherry,
How do you make baby chocolate chip cookies? Do you just make them really small?

We sometimes have tea in what's left of a tea set my great-grandmother brought from Italy. So fun! I'm very happy today, I finally convinced my mom to attend Quaker Meeting with me. Mom is not very religious, never has been. Like many "cradle Catholics" from ethnic backgrounds, she attended church growing up because you had to, but didn't really like it. My dad's family is Quaker (actually the term "Friends" is preferred), and I am very comfortable in that faith tradition. But I haven't gone to meeting in years, because mom wouldn't go and I didn't want to leave her alone. But now she's changed her mind, and I'm so happy! Just wanted to share-- have a beautiful day, everyone!

Happy Day!

Went to our church Picnic in the park today there were about 120 people there from 3 different churches. and our Country Gospel group.
Beautiful Country Gospel music, beautiful day with hardly any wind, and Blessing of the pets, People brought there dogs but others had there cats blessed, some one had a rooster and other animals and someone had turtles. It was great! Lots of food. Yum!

Have a good week everyone.

love you all

Wow, where do I start. I finally have a computer again. I have felt very lost. I have lost my list of addresses so if someone could send those to me I would appreciate it.
Thank you.

Here is a morning sky over our area, at Myrtletown in Eureka, this morning. Our local photographer shared it on Facebook.

Just wanted to share it with you all.

Have a good day,

Just popping in for a few seconds to let you know that I'm still alive (despite putting in 12 hours work days for the past few weeks) and that I will be MIA for a bit (provably until after Oct 10). Thank you all for all that you do in the henhouse. Much appreciated.

Love ya!

Those Tea party accessories are just the cutest ever! They remind me of something Susan Branch would love as well. When she gets to be about 4, you will have to have her invite over a few little girls and have a dress up tea party one afternoon. Perfect excuse for Granny to indulge in all the necessities like lemon curd, scones, tiny tea sandwiches and petit fours!!

Hi everyone, things are nuts here right now. My daughter is in full swing with her new double class load and still working full time. I'm babysitting from 6:00 A.M. to around 8:00 P.M. generally Monday through Friday and sometimes on weekends. I'm flat out exhausted! But being with my little Lily is so much fun! We should try really hard to have a henhouse "Farmerette" tea party with our little girls someday! (Which would mean, of course we could be together in person for our own tea party, oh wouldn't that be fun!). Marilyn, so glad you got your computer back! Happy Sunday, everyone!

Happy Day!

Winnie, they do remind me of Susan Branch! My Daughters Best friend had a Baby girl 1 month before Lily June was born. So it will be fun to have little giggling girls over for a tea party! Granny Bear wants to pass on things from the country while Mommie and Daddy can do City and technology! LOL!
