I'm thinking of putting in a trellis like that next year for beans and squash.

Your pumpkins look great! I hope they continue to do well - you and your kids will have so much fun carving them this fall :)

Vanessa - I grew beans on a trellis like this and it's wonderful! The beans hang down for you to easily pick, especially once they get up the curved part.

Vanessa, I think you should do it! I have loved having mine. Both of my peas and beans died this year, so I am not much help for them. But it has worked great for my pumpkins, squash, and cucumbers. But my hopes are that next year my beans will do what Heather said hers did.

Thanks Heather. I just have to keep after those dang squash bugs so that we will have some. Last year was my first year beating the squash bugs but our crazy invasion of army worms ate my pumpkins. I am determined to get at least one this year.

My pumpkins have changed so much in the last month! I now have 2 large pumpkins. Both are turning orange. Perfect timing for Fall. But my plant has also decided to start growing 3 more! Not sure they will be ready in time for Halloween, but we shall see.

If they're not ready for Halloween, maybe they'll be ready for Thanksgiving pies! Great job, Krista!

The little baby pumpkins are getting so big! This makes me so happy to finally have pumpkins survive the squash bugs.

One of the little fellas I shared on the 11th of this month has grown like crazy! He is now bigger than Everleigh's head! I'm excited to see how big he gets.

Either she is very small or that eggplant is very big! You will be eating moussaka for days.

Thanks! It still hasn't started turning orange yet. But I did measure how big around it is. It is 37 and a half inches around!! My biggest pumpkin yet.

Bexten had his turn standing next to the big pumpkin! I can't believe how big it's gotten. I'm excited to see it's final size.

The back side of the pumpkin is finally turning orange! I am super excited. We have a freeze warning for tonight, so I need to get the rest of my tomatoes and peppers out of the garden.

Your pumpkins are amazing! I am going to keep working on my little garden. I finally got some success with my tomatoes this year. I was so happy to get the spaghetti sauce that I was able to can. Our trees did produce a great deal of fruit. I am learning as I go.
But, Krista, your garden is amazing to me! Keep growing! Your little ones are so cute! They seem to love being out in your garden! Good for them!

Thank you Nancy! This year was a little off, but I got quite a few tomatoes as well. Over the weekend we picked the remaining green tomatoes in hopes that I can ripen them inside. We had our first night below freezing. I have almost everything out of my garden. Just a few more carrots, onions, and potatoes. Your garden sounds amazing. Good luck with your garden again next year.

Well I cut my pumpkins off the vine this morning. I am putting my huge green one on the front porch where we get tons of sun to hopefully help it finish turning orange. I will bring it in at night since we are getting super cold outside at night. If it doesn't fully turn orange, I will still be happy with it. I decided to weigh it and my big pumpkin weighs 24 pounds!! Definitely a new record for me!

All the green tomatoes are picked and laying out on trays waiting to ripen! I am so happy I get to make some more canned roasted tomatoes. I used some in my taco soup last week and they were amazing!
