| Yes, it is hot...96 here right now, how long can you stay in a kiddie pool in the shade before your skin actually starts to peel off? Kinda gross to think about, nevermind!! It is really freaking hot!! I love it. Winter is just to cold and grey! |

| omg you should see what my daughter put together today for a giftie for Clare...it is so cute, I am dying sending this...I love it. We are going to put together another tomorrow. I helped a little...bias tape was not cooperating for her. |

 Happy Day, yesterday!!
We got home from our camping trip to THREE packages of blocks. WOW!!! I have to tell you, being the swap mamma is so much fun. Sheryl-lyn/sewgirlie and Kathy/khartquilt will really enjoy being swap mammas for the fall and winter theme block swaps. I am interested in each of those swaps and will sign up when they are posted.
OK, so what did I get? Kathy/khartquilt sent her TWO sets of blocks. Ladies, the paper piecing is just so sweet. You are going to love this one. And the other has such precise seaming. You are a great quilter, Kathy. Thank you for the fat quarter, too. You are so sweet.
Sheryl-lyn/sewgirlie sent in some fabulous machine emdroidered blocks. Each one is a unique design. There are no two alike, but each one is so cute that it will be hard to figure out which might be the perfect one for each of you. I will just do my best to choose for each of you. They are nicely framed in patriotic fabric. You are going to love these. Thank you, Sheryl-lyn, for the extras. I can't wait to put all of these together into a quilt top.
Merle/mkmomus, you sent in the most unique blocks. I love the applique on them!! They are so charming and remind me of old time parades and summer days. Merle sent each of you a lovely extra as well. You ladies are going to enjoy these blocks very much!!
All the blocks so far in are wonderful. Each one has its own individual style. These will work into the coolest sampler quilts. I am so pleased to host this swap and look forward to more like this.
Just waiting for Jessica/smoothiejuice, Denise/nice and sunshine. Hope you are are able to get them done and out soon.
Cooler weather here now. Hope you all are enjoying full summertime.

I sent my husband out with a tower of farmgirl packages this morning...my guess is that he went to the post office before hitting the bank, Lowe's and Menard's!! So, we are on time!!!Not early, but atleast on time!!Whooo!! Hoo!!!
YEs, I know I wanted them to go out on the 26th, did not happen! |

Well, its July 5th. The holiday is over. Not much happened at my house. It rained!!Boo Hoo. No fireworks for me. My husband and I had hotdogs on the grill. A little salad. And some corn on the cob. (we ate inside)
My daughter went to her friends house for a picnic. She said something about a band playing and some people from work coming too. Oh to be 22 again.
This weekend we are going to take it easy. I beleive it is going to be real hot again.
Well...
...Are all the blocks in yet???

Hello, ladies. I received Jessica's blocks today. They are all unique and so cool. You will all like them. Thank you , Jessica, for the special tote bag. It is perfect for keeping my blocks organized until I get them all sewed up.
I am just waiting for Nicie's blocks. Nicie, did you get them mailed off?
Once they arrive, I will send them all back out to you. I have all the blocks labeled for those of us who did not do so. Each person will know whose block they are holding. Thank you to those who did this on your own. I appreciate you taking the time to label your blocks. So, I am just waiting for the last set.

Thank you so much. I had my son take a picture of me with the apron I got from a swap and I cannot get the computer to do the same thing as last time!! I will try later to see what happens!

That is a very pretty quilt, Sheryl-lyn. I love your fabric choices for between blocks. The embrpoidery really stands out on the white background. Great job!!
