I have a long-lived UFO lurking in the depths of my closet. They are a bunch of fabric squares signed by children of our church. It's been at least 3 years since I agreed to make a banner with them on it. The kiddos signed their names so close to the edges that I'll have to use fusing on it. That is my #1 project.

Last night while watching the 14th round of House of Representatives voting, I finished the rug with the orange stripe.as you can see some of my t shirt rugs are coming undone so I also need to make more. They are a bit wonky -the crochet gene is weak in me, but they sop up spills well.

Ok…here is my list…for now!! Lol

1. Finish rag sampler quilt. It needs borders and corner stones, then to be snipped
2. Put a binding on my Halloween wall hanging
3. Finish 2 dish quilts
4. Finish hand quilting wall hanging.
5. Assemble fish quilt blocks and finish.
4. Find a project to use 40 ish (only 2 different fabrics) 11x11 fabric squares
5. Find a project to use 30 ish (1 fabric) 10x10 fabric squares
6. Finish Nashville scrapbook
7. Finish Discovery Bay mini-album
8. Make Mariners Apron
9. Make 4 useable grocery bags
10. Finish 2 calendar kits
11. Hand quilt sampler quilt and add binding
12. Slow stitch project
13. Snowman embroidery project

Is it just me that feels very exposed in putting these UFOs in writing? Lol

I have a few basic goals too:
1. Continue to use stash of paper (if I won’t use it, donate or rehome)
2. Continue to use stash of fabric (if I won’t use it, donate or rehome)
3. Use the “I might use this one day” items that I’ve purchased.
4. Use up stash of wood cutouts, frames, and decor pieces

Thanks, for keeping me accountable girls!! :)

Karen :)

Karen - Do you use MJF directions for the Dish Drainer Quilt? They are 16" x 19" I think. Or is your Dish quilt something else?

I think we all need help to keep accountable. I don't think I will finish all the PhD projects on my list and they will also be on my 2024 list, and I also know that I will add other PhD projects that I find when trying to organize my quilting/crafting rooms.

I like the rugs, Ness. I am also making a rug from t-shirt yarn. This one will have a fourth square and they will be joined together in a long strip. Don't worry about the "crochet gene". There are no mistakes in art.

I wish that I was a grandmother so that I could teach my grandchildren how to cross stitch and crochet, and read to them and feed them cookies and bananas, have them help me in the garden and play with paper dolls like our grandma's did.

After thinking about this - I have changed my original list and divided it into 2 lists. I started to partially organize my quilting/crafting rooms and have found - imaging that! - some more UFO projects. These involve table runners, wall hangings, kitchen items, etc.

I put the larger quilt projects in a separate "Longer Term PhDs" list since they are larger projects and some require a lot of time. I can work on them between the smaller projects that have stacked up and need finishing.

I may reorganize the lists again depending on what I find while cleaning and organizing. LOL!

Right now I am trying to reorganize my Sewing/Craft room and found some UFO’s.
1. Cathedral Window Quilt. Started in the 2000 I think.
2. 4 Embroidered Projects
3. Knitted Socks and Mittens unfinished.
4. 2 Slow Stitching Projects.
That is all I have found for now but I know there are many more.
Until I finish reorganizing and cleaning my room I do not know what I will start first!
Thank you Linda for this thread we can help keep each other motivated.
Happy Sunday.

Keep on crafting or making your list. Good to stay organized for sure. I started a flannel scarf. I have to add on more material. I am about 7 inches short of the 89 inches and that will make a difference. Need to go to town and get some snaps too. Happy Crafting all.

Woo hoo! I finished the first 2 Snap Scarves out of blue plaid flannel. Now, all I have to do is figure out how to best wear them. Since there is 6 feet of scarf, trying to get it to sit properly on your around your neck is tricky. The pattern that I sent the link to, she used 6-1/2 feet of flannel and wraps it around 3 times, but my fabric was 6 feet so I tried it that way. I think 6 1/2 feet is just too much. Excuse the selfie - I hate taking them - my arm isn’t long enough. Lol!

Wow, Linda that is the cutest flannel scarf that snaps!! I have never seen one before and it is really neat and different. I love your smiling selfie shot! It is always fun to know the face behind the farmgirl comments.

Vanessa, I love your cute rag rugs that you made! They are perfect for so many places where water can accumulate and create a fall hazard. Plus, you can use us old tee shirts and create something useful around the house.

Marie, love those old fashion Granny Squares with all the fun colors! After you put them in a strip, will you use it as a table runner or the start of a lap throw or other afghan idea?

Those lists of UFOs would be enough to make me just shut the door and run!! LOL!!! You Farmgirls are amazing at the many projects that you do all year long.

Thank you, everyone, for your nice comments about my wrinkled face. LOL!

The scarves are VERY EASY to make, and can be worn several different ways. I am hoping some of you might try to make one for yourselves.

I have 3 more pieces of flannel I purchased several years ago for another project and am going to make more of these to use as gifts or maybe sell; they are longer than the blue plaid and I noticed on Pinterest that people make the snap scarves in various lengths. I am thinking I will shorten the 6 feet for the next scarf because I think that would be more than enough fabric to wrap twice like I wrapped the one I am shown wearing. I will let everyone here know what I find out.
