Fall is just around the corner and it's time to get creative with feedsacks again. This will be the last feedsack swap as it will deplete my inventory. So if you have your own feedsack, I encourage you to use it. Otherwise when my supply of nine is gone, the swap will close. If the response is overwhelming, as it has been in the past, I may decide to cut the full bags in half. That would allow for 18 players. We'll see how the signups go.

CLOSING DATE September 29 -- or when the feedsacks are gone whichever comes first
PARTNERS POSTED September 30 -- or the day after closing
MAIL BY DATE November 10 -- over a month to create your masterpiece

For ideas check out the past Feedsack Swap postings and the internet. Your items do not have to be sewn. I saw a delightful feedsack basket the other day made from strips attached to Timtex (or even could be cardboard). The strips were then woven into a basket and it was adorable.

If you have depression era rrecipes and stories that you haven't shared before be sure to post them here. It's wonderful taking these trips down memory lane.

FALL FEEDSACK SWAPPERS

PARTNERS POSTED
Karen (Jokamartel and April (Dreamer42)
Sheila (VTOma) and Grace (Katmom)
Heather (nndairy)and Marlene (MBurns)
Wanda (WandaSue) and Joan (JMPiercy)

Happy Fall Y'all . . .
hugs,
jean

Good Morning Farmgirls,
Thank you to Heather (nndairy), Linda (quiltee), Karen (Jokamartel), and Sheila (VT Oma) for playing in the Fall Feedsack Swap. Once we have a final count of swappers, I will send out your feedsacks. And, let us not forget to send a big shout out to Laura (Laura Belle) for her generous donation of feedsacks for our swaps. Thank you. Thank you Laura. This swap couldn't have happened without you.

Happy Sunday Farmgirls,

Welcome to Marlene (MBurns) and Wanda (WandaSue). We are now up to six players

Just a note about this swap. I won't be sending out the feedsacks this time until I have a final count and know whether I am sending full sacks or half sacks.

You might want to mosey on over to the Dog Days Junk Journal page and check out another suggestion for a cool feedsack idea. Oh my, I can just "see" those pages of depression era recipes and stories on pages adorned with pieces of feedsack, rick rack, yo yo's and lace. And there is a certain farmgirl who shall remain nameless but is affectionately known as the yo yo queen or the Dresden Diva who has been posting some derlightful ideas on the Stitching and Crafting page that could be "borrowed" for this swap. Hmmmmm, we're having some kind of fun now thinking about all these creative ideas.
hugs,
jean

Jean -

Please remove me from this swap. I have too many projects going on right now and will let other farmgirls participate.
Thank you for hosting.

Hi Jean, I've not yet participated in a feedsack swap as I've been intimidated in my sewing skills, however, I would like to try this go around, if there's room. Thank you, April

I'm so happy Joan has joined us for this swap. Welcome. You may recall that she supplied several feedsacks for one of our previous swaps. For those of you who keep an updated Farmgirl contact list, be aware that Joan has moved and has a new address. Please contact her via private email to get her current information.

Good morning Feedsack Swappers,
Partners have been posted -- see above. Feedsacks will go in the mail today except for those who may be affected by Hurricane Ian. I will wait until Monday to mail those to give the post office in those areas time to recover. Happy creating. Please contact your partner by private email to exchange addresses and remember the mail by date for your creations is November 10. Thanks again to Laura (LauraBelle) for providing the feedsacks for this swap.
Enjoy,
jean
