Last night poor Nora was _so_ unhappy. Nothing I could do was making her happy.

She was warm and had a clean diaper. I knew she was hungry and she kept nursing a bit and then breaking off to cry (read scream!). She just wouldn't settle down to nurse.

I finally had to warm up some frozen breast milk and give it to her in a bottle. After that she slept for a few hours but did wake up a lot earlier this morning that has been her typical pattern.

Luckily this morning she was back to her normal self and nursing strongly again.

I think she must be going through a growth spurt and she probably over slept yesterday evening so she was overly hungry. I just hate it when she cries and won't be comforted. I feel so bad for her because I have no way to let her know that it's okay. :( Poor baby.

Today she was smiling at me though!

I am so sorry sweetie I remember those night. Oh wait I still have them and my youngest is 15 months! Your doing great! I wish I could squeeze that sweet thing. My girlfriend down the street had a baby in Feb. I haven't held her till the other day, so sweet. Nothing better than a baby quiet, or screaming it doesn't matter. Enjoy it goes quick!

Nora might have gotten over hungry has she started to sleep at longer stretches?

Mandi-

I think that was the problem exactly. Normally she doesn't sleep so long during the day, but yesterday she slept an additional hour on each of her naps. Today she has been a bit more awake and seems much happier :)

I love the baby stage so far. In some ways I can't wait for her to grow up a little more, but mostly I want her to stay just this way!
