Well....all my kids(4!) Their wives, girlfriends, boyfriends and babies stayed at our house nearly all last week! So my husband and I definitely blew our food budget for this month!!! We had a blast with all of them, but I'm afraid its Kraft mac and cheese and p and j sandwiches for the rest of the month!!!!! Can I come to your homes for dinner?

Pork roast with onions, carrots and potatoes and red bell pepper in the crock pot. I will make a big green salad and bisquits too. I am loving being back home to cook again after vacation...I really missed it!

Spaghetti with Italian sausages and a glass of cabernet sauvignon. And the husband cooked, so it tasted that much better!

Lentil and sausage stew topped with parmesan, a green salad and a rum cake (YUM!) for dessert. I'm HUNGRY today!...and all of the good dinners going around are making me moreso...

XOXO, Libbie

I cooked outside tonight. Got the outdoor dutch ovens out. Made pork roast, all at once sourdough biscuits, green beans, applesauce. Also had some chevre (made from cow milk) and crackers. It was good!!! Just like all of yours sound! Michele

Brown rice with onions and lots of andouille, and a spicy corn/tomato/black bean/onion/red pepper veggie dish. No dessert; I'd made an apple pie over the weekend for my grandsons, so we didn't need any more dessert.

As for tonight, I'm at a loss. I'm going to be so busy I won't have time to watch anything, and even though I could have thawed something for the crockpot last night, did I remember??? Nooooo.... *rolls eyes*

I made the most pathetic, uninteresting, unbalanced similarly colored meal and my husband acted like it was his last! I haven't been to the store in a bit, and he's been a little weird about eating lately, so I didn't really plan anything because he'd say, "I'm just going to eat cheese and crackers"...So, he wanted dinner and we ended up with homemade creamed corn, noodles (no yolks) with butter and breadcrumbs and cube steaks.

I could hardly choke it down, but he ate two helpings.

I guess it was a success

This was fun to read the different menus. Some of us were having almost the same things! I think we all have days, of "I have no idea what's for supper"! I am feeling like having one tonight!!! Michele

Had tacos last night and they were yummy! Tonight it's pot roast that's been cooking in my Nesco roaster all day. I just love that thing and should think about getting a new one. Anyhoo to go with the roast, there will be taters, onions, carrots and a gravy. Oh, can't forget the home made biscuits and tossed salad. Dang, I'm getting hungry!

You guys are cooking up a storm! Sounds delish! Well, my hubby is out of town and he won't eat salmon in a can EVER. So, we are having a southern favorite: salmon patties and biscuits. He'll probably be having some gourmet dinner at an exclusive restaurant somewhere. Me? I'll take salmon patties any time!
