Hi, Tracy, it has to do with the number of posts you have on the forum. I think you only need 50 to become trueblue. You may need a few more than that, but it is just the number of posts you have made really. Kind of like the star rating on ebay, but you did not buy anything. Nice to have you, your aprons sound delicious...jess |

Good Morning Jessica, Thanks for the info. What could be more fun and enjoyable than the process of reaching true blue? I am really enjoying all the stories and information I am reading on this site. By the way I lived in Terre Haute for about a year back in 1970. Went to Honey Creek High I think was the name of the school. I remember a very cold, snowy but beautiful winter. The people were so friendly. My sister and I were just talking about Indiana last Sunday and how pretty it was in the area we lived. How did you come by the name smoothiejuice? Makes me think of summertime and icees. Tracy |

Wow, I hope you had fun in Terre Haute. I have been a few times for different events. Not too terribly far from here. Maybe 1 1/2 hours or something. Why did you live there? It is pretty fun here. Everyone seems to enjoy good things and look out for family and friends. I like being around people who care about family, friends, animals, gardens, handmade items, etc. I wish we could all live near each other. I have a few neighbors I could definitely trade. Oh, and as for smoothiejuice...my husband and I used to own a very vegetarian/vegan friendly restaurant. Neither of which I am, I like to munch meat occaisionally. I like my veggies a lot, though. Anyway, in my opinion and the opinion of most people around here, we had the very best smoothies you could get with all kinds of add ins for various nutritional needs. We then became "smoothiejuice" in online situations, and somehow it has stuck around. We sold the restaurant whilst expecting child #4, because the hours were long and we more needed family time. So, smoothiejuice I am, I guess forever. Someday, when I have an adequate supply of cash (lol), I hope to buy my frozen soft serve machine again and start making smoothies again from various types of "milks". I really had the best smoothies, we will see what happens. Nice to have you here, Jess

Hello Clare from Tyler Hill, Could you tell me about the Cindy Taylor Oates apron booklet that you mentioned. It sounds like something I'd like to have. Where can it be puchased? Thanks. Tracy |

Hi jessica, thanks for the quick response. My dad worked with an aircraft company that sent us to Terre Haute for a short term contract. He did something with planes, I can;t remember. I have lived in North Carolina since 72 and claim it as home. It is a family and farm loving place. I am a Tar-Heel for sure! Sounds like you are a busy mom, 4 children, awesome. I hope you get your smoothie machine real soon. Your children will first in line and oh so lucky. Tracy |

GIRLS!! You should see the fantastic apron Chris made for me!! It is muslin with a redwork rooster and writing on it. It is so perfect for me and the things that I love. I will see if my son can help me post a picture here for you so see. It is so vintage looking. She actually made the pattern based on a vintage apron a friend told her about. How cool is that? I also got a fabric apple (for me as a teacher!), handmade soap and handmade note cards. It was the best day for me!! Like Christmas!
Have a great weekend. I will be cooking up a storm for my daughter's college graduation, so I will be using my apron right away!

My apron from Sheryl-lyn is lovely as well, very well crafted, a beautiful grass green print with yellow binding, and super long ties so I can tie it in the front - like how convenient is that? And it fits me beautifully! My big problem is that I don't want to get it dirty! So I put it on, stand in front of the mirror for a bit, then take it off and hang it where I can look at it! That happens several times a day. AND! it has the most beautiful delicate antique hankies, one in each pocket....its really awesome. Christmas in May doesn't happen often. This swap was a great idea - how very special.
ps: Sheryl also sent me a whole grain blueberry muffin mix, a book on baking soda useful tips and some herbal tea! yummy stuff. Thank you again, Sheryl! |

Oh it is so beautiful on you...good work sewgirlie and what a great partner to have!!! Breaking in a new apron is always hard, what if you get it dirty...and that is what it is meant for...I have a hard time with that, too. Hope you are all really enjoying this day!!! Jess |

Aww Chris!! I am so glad I got to see you in the apron. The pattern is from MJF! I forgot to tell you that part. You look so cute. Go ahead and get that bad boy dirty with some good cooking. I'll make you another one!
