Well, since it's to early to grow violets in the garden, sew...
I embroidered my own!

I forgot I had this pattern on my embroidery machine.

Awwwww, I love it Katmom. Now I gotta look through all my stuff and see if I have violets or pansies somewhere. I must have.

I actually have a few violets that are poking their brave little heads through the ground…it’s gonna get cold again, so we will see how they do. :)

It takes about 20min to sew on the machine, and probably several hours if done by hand..
Luv my machine...

Grace, I had no idea that when you posted your beautiful violets that you would gift me one. It arrived today and couldn't have come at a better time. It's cold here with ice and snow tomorrow, but I'm toasty warm and have your violets to brighten my day.

Katmom,
I love your violet embroidery.
I totally can see you making it on a hankie, linen kitchen towel or maybe the bib of an apron.
Great Job**

Hi Grace, I checked with the post office in our old town we moved from, and the mail guy we know at the post office there said he never got the forwarding notice. He said when we send it off to the main postoffice for Vermont they are suppose to let the old post office know there is a forwarding form in. He never got that notice.
We have been having trouble with that since we moved to the town that is about 20 min from our old house. Did you put a return address on it? because it is suppose to come back to you.
I am so so sorry about this.

I didn't order violet seeds because they are to be sown in the fall in my part of Texas. But all is not lost. I will have violets for the Jubilee. The wild violets I transplanted out of my yard several years ago have come back and are blooming. I have them in beds on both sides of sidewalk at front porch steps. I love plants that come back year after year.

My violets are in potting soil and I think I have one or two poking up out of the soil. My husband went and got some grow lights so keep your fingers crossed. I can't wait.

Hi Grace my violets have not done anything yet even being under a grow light I hope I did not get a bad batch of seeds! my husband said what I saw poking out were just a weed from the potting soil. I keep looking every day hoping. I think if I see some grown at the store I will buy them and some catnip to grow for our cat Merlin.

Wawho I saw some Viola being sold at the local general store, I told my husband if the ones I have do not germinate that I was going to buy them at the first store I see them, and I did. I am so happy, I am transplanting them to a bigger pot (not to big, and per my husband the nursery man) will put some tree chips in the bottom so the soil does not get to wet. I will still wait and see if the others germanite. I just found out that I can take pictures with my iPod touch, but do not know how to send them with my sister I would attach it to her Tex Messaging I do not know how to send it to other people. If anyone knows how let me know, thanks.
