I am soon to be an aunty of twins. As my sister and I were looking online for clothing options for mothers of multiples we did not find any resources, even at high end boutiques.
We were especially discouraged to see many recommendations that mothers expecting multiples resort to plus size or even men's clothes; however, as my sister says,
"just because my tummy's extra large doesn't mean I am".

As a seamstress, I would love to put my talents to use by providing women with flattering, comfortable, maternity wear; tailored specifically for mothers carrying multiples.
After all, why should all the other mothers get the cute maternity clothes!

In order to not only provide custom garments, but also ready-wear, I am interested in gathering measurements from mothers of multiples of all body types at various stages throughout
their pregnancy. I have put together a brief survey for mothers of multiples currently expecting or who have recently delivered in order to have a better idea of what styles and fabrics they would most enjoy.

So if you are currently expecting twins or higher order multiples, or know someone who is, and would be willing to fill out my brief survey, please email me!

I have my measurements from when I was pg with my twin boys (who are now 4). I remember the last few weeks not being able to fit into ANYTHING and my tummy hanging out from below. Good for you for thinking about these special mamas.

I did not have twins, however, I did have large babies and my last child was 10lb 7oz. It was embarrassing to be that big. I wanted nothing but black and slimming. Especially in the later months. My favorite outfits were goucho pants with layered stretchy thin t-shirts. My goucho pants were black. My problem was ALWAYS that all other clothes did not go down over my bump and so my belly would show!!! Church clothes were bad like that. And forget wearing dresses as I felt so gross I didn't want a moo-moo! I usually wore slacks. The last 3 weeks of my pregnancy I just didn't go to church. I was enormous and riding in the car hurt.

Thanks for your encouragement, ladies. Rebecca, you bring up an interesting point... that singleton moms with big babies may be interested in these clothes as well--thanks for the suggestion!

What a good idea!!! One of my dearest friends just had her beautiful twins last week (a healthy but a bit earlier than expected boy and girl) and I know she would have loved to purchase maternity clothing that might have fit her enormous belly. And I do think that some of the singletons would also find the larger tummy sized marternity clothing better too. Grand idea!!
