I’ve never seen the yarn winder…I’m headed to research what it does and what your blanket will look like, Julie!! I love your kitty in the chair in the background. Black and white cats are my favorite and I’ve never owned one! :)

Those yarn winders are amazing and make the job of winding yarn a lot easier.

Now that the little train case turned out well, I tackled another suitcase. The penguin fabric matched the paint color and is whimsical.

Here's the face of a floppy-eared rabbit doll I'm making with yarn sent to me by my sister.

Here's the picture from the pattern.

Wanda Sue,, before I retired,, doing cross stitch was a stress reliever for me...

I did a 5x7 image of a multi-colored Spaniel dog chewing on a boot lace while sitting on a rug.. it required nearly every shade of cream to tan to browns.. OMG!
It also took me 20 hours to stitch it.
I have it packed away now, when I get around to looking for it, I will have to post a photo of it..
I had made it for my hubby and his beloved Britney Spaniel

Grace I would love to see your Spaniel Dog when you find it. Through the years I have stitched many cross stitch projects, but always gave them away. I still have my first cross stitch though, that I learned as a teenager. The senior ladies at our church would meet once a week to teach us young girls whatever we wanted to learn. I bought the kit before our first session, so didn’t know there were different size counts. My kit was the 18 count, and my partner was a little worried, but it all turned out great!

Grace those Gnomes are so cute but I do understand about it being hard on the eyes. I just picked up one of my UFO’s cross stitch pattern of a Halloween Scarecrow. It will take me until October to finish it!
Wanda Sue what beautiful cross stitch of the wildlife, what a treasure to have kept of your first project.
I crossed stitch Neuschwanstein Castle when I was in my late 40’s and we were stationed in Germany, but I did it on Navy Blue fabric! I used a light underneath to see the holes, took me over a year to finally finish it. But so worth it!
Will post a photo of it!

Well here it is My Neuschwanstein Castle! I was so happy to be finished with it I took a framing class at our base rec center and learned to mat and frame it myself. I was so pleased with it. Many moons ago!!
