Heather, Wow, that scarf is awesome! Great job. As far as the shawls are concerned you only need to know how to knit and purl so with that said, I really think you could do it. There are a lot of really cool patterns out there! Here's a link to some free illusion knitting patterns to get you started.

Here's the pattern I used if you want to make her one Michele. There are a bunch of patterns on the page - the gnome scarf is about 2/3 of the way down the page.

I'm heading over to check out the website now Theresa but I won't start anything until after Christmas.

Krista, They are a blast to knit. Like I was saying to Heather, if you can knit and purl you can do it! Start with something small like a scarf or something like that.

I thought I would share the projects I completed today. They will be used as game prizes at my annual sock exchange. I purchased the little house at the Dollar Tree over a year ago. I just added paper to the back (to cover what was inside), painted the outside white, and then added the bottle brush trees. The other project is all made of scrapbooking paper. :)

Theresa, I don't know how to knit, so I will make that a goal for next year.

Karen, those gifts are adorable! The winners will love those!

This is a cardinal I made for a shop I sell things in. It sold the second day for more than I thought it would.
