I finished the boarder around Bexten's new bib. It was fun. I think I will make some more like this in the future.

I have been working on dish towels that hang from the oven/stove handle.
I have been making the top part, pot holder but while out at the local dollar store I spotted plain pre made pot holders and some cute embroidered towels,, now I need to sew& assemble some more.
Kitchen towels make for sweet little Thank you, happy house warming or what ever gifts.

Ok, not sure why, but I can’t seem to get some of the photos to load and post. Bummer!
Anyway, I sew a loop on one side a sew a yo-yo over it… and on the opposite side I sew a button for the loop to go over.

Super easy to make... I also crochet simple dish rags in Cotton yarn, in a color to match the towel..
Perfectly simple gifts, to pre-make and have on hand..

Those are really cute kitchen towels! I like that they do double duty for hands and anything that needs a potholder.

Do any of you remember the half apron pattern MaryJane used to have in her online store that included a towel attached to the apron at the waist?? I think she said her Mom liked having a handy towel at the ready. Grace, can you come up with how to do that?

I can visualize a simple 1/2 apron with a deep pocket on one side and an attached towel on the other.
Take a hand/dish towel cut in half lengthwise, ,, baste the towel to the apron and then add on the waist band.

Cute potholder idea, Grace. Those are so super easy to make.

And my mother added a dishtowel to aprons way back when she made them for the women's club, They are also very easy to add to an apron.
Thanks for posting.

Super cute Grace. I like that it's attached to a hot pad. The best part is that you get it from the dollar store.

At the quilt club meeting a lot of material, irons, ironing boards and stuffing was given away. I was drawn to this quilting frame.

Great! When we are in the nursing home together we can still do handwork!
I was bangin" away trying to seat the bolts, and dropping pieces..it was a bit noisy.

See Vanessa and I have it all planned. We will be roommates and watch Marx Brothers movies all day. When the staff asks us who they are, we will tell them a long, silly story of the Communist Comedians Union who spread Cold War propaganda through these movies. We will have motorized wheelchair races in the hallways where the staff offices are located. We will call all the nurses and aides "Heather" even the male ones and will giggle because, of course, we know their real names. Ah yes! There will be fun.
