Oh Katmom, your penny rugs are just to cute for words. And yes, BIC who shall remain nameless is a mischief maker. I received a purple package from her containing several spools of beautiful ribbon and some delightful fabric that looks like it could be feedsack. material. Now I have to decide what to do, what to do . . . .

Very nice cards, Michele - quite a lot of work. May years ago I also made cards and envelopes, and I still have the rubber stamps, inks, and other supplies to prove it. I've sold a lot of the stamps, but kept my favorites - I had a lot of cat-related stamps. LOL! I really need to clear out more, since I'm no longer making cards. I also made envelopes out of magazine pages, wallpaper samples, and fancy napkins ironed onto freezer paper.

Nice table topper and wool candle mats, Grace. I wish I could get these sweaters felted - I've made purses from felted sweaters before, and I bought a wonderful hat made from felted sweater pieces and wools. I'd like to make one similar because it is so comfortable and warm. I bought it in Michigan, where the winters are longer and a lot colder than here in Texas.

Everyone is so creative here. I love seeing the creativity that farmgirls come up with. It gives me more ideas - like I really need any more. LOL!

Today I went to a sewing day, a separate group of quilters that meets at my church. We have fun, sing and talk, and get our projects done. One gals husband made cinnamon rolls and she brought a pan.
Being creative with friends makes me happy.

Vanessa --
Enjoy your group. I used to be in a group; most of us had been in a Civil War quilting class for six or seven years and one of the gals would have us all at her house once a month, friends and relatives joined the group, we had potlucks and everyone did their own thing: sewing, quilting, crochet and knitting and various other crafts. It was so much fun. Six moved out of state, two died, a couple more just drifted away, Covid happened, and now there are just two of us. We still get together when we can but we miss our big group. Tomorrow we are going to the craft and sewing expo. It will my first big outing since before Covid.

I also have been a member of a small group of crafters - knitting, crocheting, sewing, quilting, etc. Same thing happened as in your group, Judith; 1 died, 2 are very ill, 2 moved (I was one of them but not as far away), COVID happened, and we are down to 2 + me. I still go to my quilt guild 1x a month and my scrappy group (a breakout group of the guild) 1x a month. It is nice to get away though the meetings are at night and I have to drive home about 40 miles after dark.

Awhile back JeanP made me the cutest little 'catch-all'... and I decided to make another one to corral my small items while sewing..
Thank you Jean for giving me a fun idea.
The orange one is from Jean, I made the hedgehog one.

These are sew easy peasy...

Yeppers. I have them all over the place as little catch alls. Especially one by each sewing machine with all the little doo dads necessary readily available at each machine. Then another one with my handsewing doo dads, etc., etc. Sew glad you liked the idea Katmom. If you're going to make a lot of them, do look into the hole punch by OESD. It's an amazing tool.

Heather, my little baskets are from a Kimberbell "baskets" pattern. They are made entirely in a 5x7 hoop quilting and all. Larger sizes would take the next larger size hoop. I LOVE Kimberbell patterns. I suspect that Grace might have made her own up from dissecting the one I sent her. She's sew clever that way. Who knows maybe a Jubilee potholder with enclosed little basket might come your way one of these days . . . .
hugs,
jean

Cute basket Grace. I like the little bit bigger size. What a cute gift basket it would make. The hedge hog material. Super cute!!

Such fun baskets!! My daughter made these little basket squares as gifties for a crafting retreat we attended. I think she found the instructions on Pinterest. She said they were very quick and easy to make.

Today I finished 8 fabric Wall Pockets. 2 are already sold to a friend and the other 6 are going to the shop on Wednesday. I found 4 yards of the cowboy fabric at an antique/craft shop last week for $1 a yard.
