Judith, Beautiful! I agree with Jean, WOW 17 is awesome! It is a great time to work on some UFO's. I am back trying to finish up some things myself.
Finished up some hats for charity....
Finished my Bat Shawl (to go with the socks, hahaha)
and I did finish the bat socks....
The picture isn't very good but finished my yule ball ...

Grace, not yet. The day after Thanksgiving I ordered the advent number tags.... needless to say the are still in preshipment and we’re supposed to arrive today. I’m a tad bit upset that they haven’t even shipped yet so I will be calling them today to figure out where they are. Once I get them here and hooked on I’ll share a picture.
Theresa, that shawl is awesome! It looks so neat.

Hi from beautiful Deary, Idaho. I would LOVE to take credit for the beautiful bat shawl and Yule globe, but t'wasn't me. Theresa from the Buckeye state of Ohio gets that claim to fame . . . But I do covet that gorgeous scarf. jean

Thank you all. The shawl was a hoot to knit. I really want to do some more illusion knitting.
Here is a little ditty I wrote about the yule ball...
A pinch of holly, clove, sage, rosemary, rose petals and lavender, A smidgen of allspice, bay leaf, and oregano A dash of pinecone, don’t forget the needles For good measure add a sparkly string, knotted, and looped to catch all those negative vibes. A wren feather for extra protection. Mix them together in a glass orb, sealed at the top with a nature string. Hang on a tree or above a door, sit on a table or the tv. And there you have a collage of items to provide love, happiness, and protection. Smooth yule nerves and keep all unhappiness away for the Yule Season.

Boy Theresa, you can knit me some illusions any ole' time. After all, I live in a make-believe world anyway which is very reminiscent of "The Twilight Zone" these days. I love your yule ball ditty too. Farmgirl hugs, jean

I've finished the binding on the girls quilt. It is hand quilted in spirals. Next up, the boys quilt.

Looks good Vanessa. I think the spirals are just right for that quilt.

Thank you Jean. I want to learn to make patterns for illusion so I am not limited to what is already out there.
Oh Vanessa, love your quilt. So bright and happy! Looking forward to seeing the boys quilt. I love hand quilting, although, sometimes I wish I could do it faster. LOL

I found out that my advent numbers are still stuck in pre shipping so I asked for a refund. I chose them only because they would be here in time. So now I will order some others and just finish the advent calendar to be used next year. I found some I liked on Etsy but they are coming from Europe so I know they won’t be here until after the new year. I’m super bummed. I guess I should have planned ahead.

This was the view from my studio today as I finished packing up all the boxes for Santa to deliver to UPS and USPS tomorrow. Got a pot of chicken and dumplings going -- good snowy day comfort food. And, I'm tired. Tomorrow I'll get the Christmas letter finished up and send the Christmas cards on their way. Merry Ho Ho and I'm dreaming of a White Christmas . . . Farmgirl hugs, jean

Absolutely beautiful!!!!! Wishing it was here in the middle of Kansas. I fell in love with South Dakota and went there a few times but hubbie wasn't too keen. I have always loved the tall hills and lots of snow. Too old now to make the change sad to say. Merry Christmas, Kathy

Jean, that is what my view looks like today. We got a lot of snow overnight and it’s absolutely beautiful! Snow definitely makes it feel like Christmas time. And helps me get motivated to wrap presents!

We have a pretty big snow storm coming in tomorrow. Weather says a 98% chance of snow lol! My kids don’t have school tomorrow so we will be staying in and I’ll be able to get more crafting done. Hopefully our snow sticks around until Christmas!

Here the ground is covered and they say it will stop snowing sometime late tomorrow morning. Supposed to get 12" - 24". Last weekend I finished some Christmas presents. Microwave bowl holders. Only made one mistake, used polyester thread on one. Directions say to use only cotton, polyester will melt in the microwave. I guess that one will be for me! Not sure when I will pick out all those stitches.

Well, I had an exhausting day of putting up the Christmas Tree. . . . simply wore out this ole' bod. So I think I'll take the rest of the day off and make a nice cup of tea and start a new book by the toasty fire. I've earned it, doncha think? jean
