Heather, are you going to do the strip pieces too? Or just all the tiny squares?

My precision needs work LOL! I agree - slowing down helps tremendously. I think my biggest problem is not keeping them straight at the end of sewing (once the fabric is under the pressure foot and no longer on a guide line.) I have a couple more projects to work on next, but I'm wanting to make some more of these tiny quilts. I'm enjoying it and a little bit of fabric goes a long way with them!

Krista - I'm making the quilt just like the pattern, except using all Christmas fabric instead of the reproduction fabric. Hopefully by this weekend I'll at least have the top done.

Heather, your mini quilt is going to be so cute! I can't wait to see it finished! I did a whole panel of those little tiny squares in the Quilt of Valor that I am working on. I agree that slowing down does help with the precision! Keep at it; it will be so cute!

I have the top put together. It's a bit busy (for lack of a better word) but I like it. I have to get out my Christmas fabric tote and see what fabric I have that's big enough for the back. I've been using a lot of my fabric and I'm not sure what's left in there.

Good job Heather it looks great. You can always piece the back; I'm doing that more and more as my fabric pieces get smaller and smaller.

Very cute quilt, Heather. What size are the pieced squares? They look pretty small. I have a lot of Christmas fabric and scraps. Maybe I will also do something like that.

My sewing sanctuary is back! I've added a large table, ironing board and iron, and my dad's old trunk for fabric.
Although I still have a lap quilt I'm hand quilting, I've begun the 16 patch pattern my sister sent me.

Across the room is the desk where I will write to penpals, and in the closet I have pre-bagged future quilt fabric and a quilt needing repair.

Thank you everyone!
Judith - that's a great idea, to piece the back. That way I can save any bigger pieces I have (if any) for another project. No one will really see the back anyway!
Karen - I'll probably just stitch in the ditch for the vertical rows and across the blocks horizontally.
Linda - the blocks are 2 3/4 inches before they're all sewn together.

Vanessa - what a wonderful sewing space! Can't wait to see all your creations :)

Baseball season started here again and I spend much of my time at the fields watching my boys, so my crafting has really slowed down. But I finally got all the yarn I need for my next corner to corner. Hopefully I can sneak in a couple rows here soon.

Good luck, Krista! :) When my girls were playing their chosen sports, there wasn’t much time to do any crafting…especially because the softball coach for Katie’s team was her dad!! :) lol. First to get to practice, last to leave. Then dinner and the bedtime routines!

You should have seen the mess when my fabric was stuffed in a bin in the basement. I tried to keep it in order but everything got stirred around when I pawed through it for fabric.
