Wow great projects are being made. The organizers are wonderful. The kids quilts are amazing. Krista how many blocks do you have to go? Vanessa I thought you had said sewing time, not swearing time- oh my gosh hahahahaha. You need a quilt wall to lay out your quilt pieces. I had made a small one. I am not sure what the stuff is called, got it at wally world, but it is stiff and light weight. Then I took batting and glued to it and hot glued on a binding around the edges. Your cloth pieces will sit there and not move around and you can take your board right to your sewing machine. I think I found the board in the paper section of the store.

Felt is the fabric used to make a quilt board.

Can't remember who suggested it but I got Patty Lyon's Knitting Bag of Tricks book and workbook and am working through the exercises. heard a podcaster say that it was what they hoped the Master Knitting program would have been. So far through the first section and been interesting (and fun) process!

A quilt board can easily be made with a vinyl tablecloth with a felt backing. Staple it to the wall or hang it somehow and you are ready to put fabric pieces on it.

Michele, I have 8 more blocks to go. If I can keep up my pace of finishing one a month then I will be done this year.
