Congratulations Krista, I’m sure it feels really good to finish that UFO.

Beautiful, Krista! Wish I could paint. Fabric is my medium of choice, not paint. I get too dirty when I paint. LOL!

Today I am putting the final borders on my Alaska quilt kit using a Northern Lights panel. I am also making the backing for the Alaska quilt. I am taking 4 quilts to my longarm quilter on Thursday. YAY! Not sure what I will do with them when I get them back. I have so many quilts and ony so many beds and backs of couches. Oh, well.

I am also making slip covers for the seat cushion and back cushion for the matching rocker for our grandson that will remain at our house. The fabric is dinosaurs on white; I got the fabric free (somewhere, not sure where) and figured this is a good use for it.

Today I'm finally putting the sections of the Vintage Sampler quilt together. I'll post a picture when the tall person with long arms is available.

Linda, trust me, I get paint everywhere too lol! But it's still fun. Great work on having 4 quilts done. You sure have been very busy. It sounds like you may need to rotate the quilts around every other week.;

Judith, I look forward to seeing your quilt.

I started working on some cross stitch this week in hopes that I will have it finished before Christmas so I can give it as a gift. It's been awhile since I have worked on cross stitch.

So far so good -- I think it is going to be a dog. Such tiny stitches.

Judith, it will be a wolf. I bought a 3 pack pattern a couple years ago. It came with a bear, a wolf, and a moose. They have a tree scene on them. I made the bear and now I want to make the wolf to match.

Today I am going through my scrap bin and cutting "potato chips" for a quilt guild project. Potato chips are 2 ½ by 4 ½ inch scraps of fabric that are put together to make a quilt block. Pictures to follow. Sometime.....

Judith, interesting name for a quilt block, haha. Have fun creating and using up scraps.
I have been finishing up a block of the month quilt that someone had started and given up on. It is applique, and I finished up top stitching around those. Not something I would start for myself. Next up will be making a border and putting the whole thing together. Then once the outside work is all done, will get working on the double wedding ring quilt again.

Krista -- They are rectangular like bricks. Here are some of the blocks I made over the weekend:

Yesterday I stepped out of the comfort zone of my sewing room and took a wreath making class at a wonderful little nursery. It was a lot of fun and here is my wreath:

Ignore the crack in the wall; it's an old house.

Judith I find that term “potato chips “ very interesting. Your blocks are very nice. I have so many random pieces of fabric from swaps that I think I will spend one day cutting some rectangles. I would love the scrappiness of it all. Thank you for the inspiration.

Hi, Judith! I love your wreath! It reminds me of my Sister's farmland. So very pretty, and the crack is character!
