Very nice, Judith. I'm glad someone else has too many UFOs, too. I am working on mine as much as I can and they seem to only multiply.

Today I worked on a new vest I'm making from some quilt squares I put together. I found a picture on the Internet over a year ago and wanted to make one like it. I could not find a pattern, so I made my own. I am trying to decide how to bind it right now, then I will add buttons and make buttonholes and hope it fits. LOL!

Michele I love your shopping bag! I’m impressed by all the quilters. I’m learning that and trying to get back into garment making but in an ADHD friendly way.

You guys have been busy making some wonderful creative things. It's been a while since I have been on due to canning/freezing and dehydrating garden goodies.

I did manage, in between, to finish up over 100 hats for the kids. I am hoping to deliver them in Oct to Children Services so I may get a few more done before that.

I finished the quilt top and got it in the hoop, not much quilting on it yet as it is just to hot here.

I have also been knitting hats from the "Knitting the National Parks" book. I have no idea what I am going to do with them but wanted to give them a try.

Badlands

Arches

Bryce Canyon

Saguaro (night and day)

Joshua Tree

Theresa -- you have been busy. Your quilt is beautiful and I love your national park hats, especially the Bryce Canyon one -- I have happy memories of a family reunion there and your hat is the perfect color of the hoodoos. Quilting, either by hand or machine, is definitely not a summer activity.
What an awesome bell you have in the corner of the room.

WOW! Love those hats! You ave been a busy gal. Looks like a lot of changing colors and cables, but they are veautiful. I love the Saguaro one daytime; was there several years ago. A friend's son is a ranger there.

I haven't done too much hand quilting, and it is too hot to do it in the summer almost everywhere. Love your quilt!

Judith, That is one of two bells our Uncle had. He was an avid collector of train memorabilia. We were fortunate enough to inherit it. It is hooked up to an air tank so we can ring it whenever we want. Man is it loud. I don't remember what steam engine it came off of, but I do know that it proudly rang on a steam engine at one point.

Bryce Canyon is my favorite... love the hoodoos! I do love all the Parks in Utah, for that matter in the Southwest. I do miss living there.

Linda, yes a lot of cables and color changing, but it was fun! The catus were fun to knit. I forgot to list Mesa Verde. It was a fun knit also

You are so right... way to hot to quilt. I hand quilt which means it would be laying over my legs... guess it will just have to wait.

I finished the quilted vest I was working on today.

This is not the best I made - this is the picture I found on the Internet a couple years ago. I could find no pattern like this on Pinterest, so I decided to make my own. It took me a while to make the pattern. I don't like that it has to be put on over your head.

And here are the front and back of the vest I made from blocks that were in my mother's stash. It is not a perfect fit, so if I make another I will have to tweak the pattern a bit. For one thing, I will probably add buttons at the shoulders to make it easier to put on and take off.

I plan to wear it with jeans or a jean skirt. It is warm, so I will wait until Fall to wear it.

Linda, Love the vest. It will look great with jeans or jeans skirt, or anything else really

Theresa, those hats are really neat looking! And they really do remind me of those Utah National Parks. Way to go. You have been very busy.

Linda, your vest looks great. It's going to be such a fun vest to wear this Fall.

Linda the vest turned out great. It's going to look good on you and keep you warm. What about putting it on over your head don't you like? Could you make the neck part larger to make it easier?

I've finished three parts of the Vintage Sampler quilt that I am doing this month for the guild's UFO challenge. Now on to part four and I can finally put the whole thing together.

These are the latest friendship quilt blocks I made with this months gnome fabric. I lollygagged the month away, so they were a rush job.

Very nice Vanessa. I like how the black strips set off the yellow. A good fall quilt. Summer is the best lollygagging time.

I finished the back to my graphgan pillow last night. Now I just need to get them hooked together. I am needing buttons and have struggled to find any tree buttons in the store. I may need to order some online. It's going to be so nice when this big project is finished.

To be honest, I cut them too small so I decided to add borders. I get nervous that I won't have enough fabric for both blocks.
