I am so glad to hear that all is okay! I was thinking that it probably wasn't anything horribly serious since he had it for such a long time with no other side affects but am still glad to hear that all the tests results show everything is okay. I just feel so bad that your son went through all the worry and heartbreak for almost two years but I bet that he is so relieved now and can get on and ENJOY life!!! And this has brought everyone closer as well. Will keep him in my prayers for his surgery but he should get through it with flying colors!

So, so GLAD to hear that great news, Beth!! You'd be surprised how much I've thinking about you & your DS (and what a handsome young man!).
Will still keep you in my prayers for an easy surgery, & quick recovery. I also hope that this experience, traumatic though it has been, will somehow bring the 2 of you even closer together. That would be a true positive to come out of this. Hang in there, Beth!

I feel so bad that I haven't read this thread until just now. I'm so glad it has turned out well for your son. What a blessing that it's not cancer and you have a more open line of communication with your son. I hope his surgery goes well and I will have you and your family in our prayers.

I thought I would update you all as we have now cleared 6 monthes and all is still well. In fact he is finding much success on and off the football field and life is good.

I would like to remind you to keep talking to your sons and make sure that they are ok.

Here is a link to a great play he had at last weeks game. He is the first play, getting the interception. Thanks for all your well wishes!
