Beth, I just saw this, and my heart dropped for you and Brandon. I hope and pray he will be fine... and also that you'll know the biopsy results quickly.

Hello all you wonderful farmgals-
Your concern and prayers have been overwhelming. Yesterday went well and all looks good. They are going to schedule surgery for next week to remove it all. they also found some cysts but I guess that is ok. He is nervous about a big incision but all will be ok.

I cannot stress enough to you all to talk to your boys about this. It is not something they should keep to themselves. Early treatment is so important. The burden of carrying this alone is more than any young man should have to handle. And with the internet, they can do research and think the worst.

I will let you know as soon as the biopsy results come in.
thanks again for all your support. You are an amazing bunch of ladies!

I agree. My dad had a talk with my fiance about stuff like that, as my dad is a prostate cancer survivor. Everyone should talk to their kids about this stuff, male and female.

Better to know and get it taken care of immediately, than to not know and have the worst happen. We've come so far in this day and age with treatments.

I am SO GLAD that things are looking up!

I appreciate everone's kind words to me. I am not beating myself up over this, I can only go from when I knew about it. I am very broken up over the fact that he had this sadness in his heart for so long and I could not help him. He truely thought he was going to die for the last year +. That part breaks my heart. I feel very out of focus these days. i am extrememly forgetfull of things I need to get done outside of this and have neglected some important things. And the waiting game is killing me.

I must say the power of all your prayers has helped us both.

This is Brandon and his little brother Quin.
Update- surgery is set for March 23rd

Beth, I'm so glad that things are looking hopeful. I can totally understand why Brandon would be unable to voice his fears and I hope sharing the burden has given him some peace. Please do keep us posted and I'll be praying for him and your family.

Beth, both your boys are gorgeous; great picture! Most boys wouldn't talk about their fears, especially about such a potentially embarrassing body area as this. I'm thinking about my brothers when we were kids... and 2 out of 3 would have kept very quiet. The third would have said ANYTHING!

Great looking boys Beth. I have 2 teenage sons and after reading your post I sat both of them down and let them read it to. I explained to them how important it is to tell me when something is bothering them and that they can tell me anything. Your story has made an impact on my 14 and 15 year old sons. Thank you for that. I will be keeping Brandon and your family in my prayers until all this passes.

Joyous news- the mass that they tested is from an injury, probably football. which caused a hydrocele to form. I saw that mentioned before. So we are going to have the hydrocele drained, then fixed, the small mass and cysts removed and be good to go. Your prayers have been truly answered and i cannot thank you all enough for your support. This whole experience has brought us closer as a family and opened up the lines of communication even more. I will let you all know how surgery goes on the 23rd.
